We carry so many pictures of how life can only be. Women are only beautiful when they are youthful. We do not need to support someone who looks confident or feels successful. We judge ceaselessly on things we do not know. We expect others to think and act as how we do ourselves. We find it easier to compare then to be inspired. Because we do not like ourselves very much, we hold back in appreciating others who do. We tell ourselves we cannot express that, cannot be that, and anyone who has said things which challenge the honesty we have with ourselves, we disconnect. The way we have found to be normal makes very little sense to me. But I am a normal human being like you and me, not special in any way, I am goofy and silly and growing older every day, I have my moments of doubts, I sometimes worry and eat the wrong foods, my hair is dry from bleaching, I can’t sleep at night and I have to deal with all the people and family issues like everyone. So I am deeply appreciating myself being human today, to be able to feel. Never will I give up feeling the love within myself, surrendering to even more to just being myself.
