Amsterdam is one of best city we truly love and enjoy. The city itself is remarkably beautiful as it covers with canals all over the city. It also processes with a unique culture that respects the right and freedom of people. During our short visit, it held a citywide gay pride festival in a weekend.

We believe that such an open minded culture was shaped by the country’s history. People are willing to accept new ideas and respect differences as if this country legalizes or tolerates controversial issues such as prostitution and sale of cannabis in “coffee-shop” (remember that you won’t get coffee inside a coffee-shop in Amsterdam!).

Since the Middle Ages, prostitution is tolerated as a policy to prevent drunk sailors hurting the female citizens. Similarly, coffee-shop was tolerated so as to deal with the drug issue by separating hard and soft drug.

Note 1: If you plan to have a short visit in Amsterdam, we will recommend you to go to Anne Frank museum (ticket must be bought online in advanced) which is a vivid remark how a Jewish family hid under the Nazi Germany’s radar for years; followed by a free walking tour in the afternoon. Take some pictures over the canals and have a nice seafood dinner.
