Just to explain a lil, to clear the clouds..
Elecoldxhot joined Suntec Dance Competition in Singapore. The winner of the competition will represent Singapore to compete in the WORLD SUPREMACY BATTLEGROUNDS in Sydney for that particular year.
Because we see that it was a chance for us to improve and grow, we decided to take part and compete. After competing heats after heats, we manage to win the Suntec Dance Competition, thus making us the group that represent Singapore to Sydney.
For us, we were looking for an outlet to improve and grow as dancers, and as a team. It was not in our intention to hurt or mock or diss anyone in particular.
We would LOVE to represent our country Malaysia, but since we joined the comp on our own will, we were alright representing Singapore, because that's the nature of the competition.
Let's put it this way, the organizers and judges in Singapore didn't mind if it was Malaysians who represent them, so why are me mad? If it was the other way around, would you allow Singaporeans to represent Malaysia? Think about that~
I feel it's a blessing either way, for them to be open about it, and allow a Malaysian team to represent their country. Not everybody would and could do that.
To be able to join this event/competition, and to meet and dance with all the dancers that were there, it was definitely an experience we would never forget.
Let's not hate something that we all love, which is Dance.
Not only Philippines, but New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Singapore, and Indonesia dance crew were equally amazing!
If I was the judge, I wouldn't know who to give the title to cause all the crews were effing on point. Crews after crews killing the stage, be it Junior, Varsity, Open, or even Monster crew. Everyone were amazing. Being 1st 2nd or 3rd...or even the last, I feel the experience is worth more than anything else.
Honestly, the cash prize is pretty good too, but hey, I always believed that experience is the best teacher.
