Today we go lil bit Korean yeah..
Chicken marinated overnight with salt, black pepper, garlic, ginger and soy sauce.. then coat it with corn starch before frying.. yes, only corn starch.. no need special flour or mixture with rice flour or anything.. simple way, simple step..
And remember to double fry it to achieve the crispy outer layer and tender juicy texture on the inside.. one of the best recipe I’ve used for years..
As for the sauce..
just add some oil, sugar, soy sauce, gochujang and stir using smallest flame (I used induction, so it’s lvl 1).. keep stirring till the mixture gets thick and caramelized..
Add the chicken in and mix well.. 💯☺️
Sprinkle with roasted white sesame if you have. ❤️
The mashed potato with pumpkin is an add on. Ran out of idea on how to cook the big pumpkin, this is the last quarter 😝
