Living vicariously through the model during a recent photo shoot for @myzarrel's upcoming collection.
Why I say this is because when I was a little girl, my first love was modelling before I found my passion in hosting.
My favourite time of the day was my time alone at home without my mother's supervision.
Every time she left the house, I would throw my own supermodel party at home.
I would ransack my mother's wardrobe, put on her clothes, slap on her make up, strut in her high heels and parade in front of zero guests! 😅
(Up till today, she still hasn't a clue 😜)
As I grow older and become the woman I am today, I realise my dream of becoming an international runway supermodel is a far-fetched dream because of my height and the fact that I can't pose for sh*t.
Therefore, I have abandoned that dream and went on to pursue hosting instead which is something I really enjoy doing and know I can excel in if I put my heart and soul to it.
The message I'm trying to convey here is.. sometimes in life we gotta accept things as they are.
Some people are born with natural talents whereas some have to try really hard to hone their skills.
Regardless, it is always wise to do your utmost best to avoid having any regrets in the future.
But it is also important to know your own abilities and limitations before you go on to pursue a dream which may never be yours to begin with.
Nonetheless, never give up easily! 💪🏼
