Let’s do something different for this yoga shoot. Get out of the studio and get onto the streets! Clad in her bikini, Roxanne wasn’t afraid of strangers staring, as we ran down alley after alley at Boat Quay to shoot this series.
Roxanne discovered yoga in University, during the three-month break and she was looking for something to keep herself occupied. At that time, her ex-boyfriend told her she was fat and needed to lose weight, so she bugged her mum to bring her to the yoga studio.
Although she started yoga with the intention of losing weight, her purpose behind yoga has changed over the years. She is no longer obsessed about how her body looks – yoga has helped me to feel good about herself and thus, she knows she wants to spend the rest of her life on the mat.
Faced with a personal setback two years back, Roxanne put on weight due to stress and the more she exercised, the more her weight increased. Eventually, she learnt to let go and be happy – and the weight naturally fell off. Of course, she kept a regular exercise regime and ate well.
She said: I’m always inspired by people who have a positive attitude. I look up to them because they show me that the physical aspect is not of utmost importance; instead, it’s one’s positivity and attitude in life. I do hope I can be an inspiration to others though.

Episode 3 - The Power of Attitude & Lower Body Workout
Mindset:
I can honestly say today was a lot harder as I felt very demotivated in the moment before going to the gym, and worse is that I gotta train some hardcore LEGS! However I had to snap myself out of it and bring out a positive Attitude in order to switch my Reality. So I took the time i needed to prepare my mind, and do it
Workout:
I've never trained legs twice a week, as I always thought that by loading it as much as I can in 1 session is more effective than splitting it into 2, however research has shown that if you trained legs twice a week you are more likely to build up more Lean Muscle Mass, I'll be updating to you on how I feel on the changes, and hopefully you can also try it out!
