Did you know a group of elephants is called a herd? 🐘🐘 Herds are lead by a female matriarch who is old and wise.

The matriarch lives with mostly females and their babies while males typically live in solidarity once they reach maturity.

3 days 2 nights journey at Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort made me reaIize, sometimes we need to find prime time to discover what brings us joy.

There, I found ways to survive and actually enjoy life without social media/ internet. I didn't feel any emptiness. I felt more calm, relaxing and peaceful.

We went for river cruise to catch sunrise and sunset in the middle of Kinabatangan River, hunting for crocodiles & wild animals along the riverbank, night walk in the jungle, saw very bright stars out on a clear night, spotted proboscis everywhere, jungle trekking, enjoyed meals four times a day and last but not least, slept in the cottage with comfy bed in the middle of preserved tropical rain forest.

How much the cost?
It's reasonable for a priceless experience like this. Highly recommended!

Perjalanan dari Kuala Lumpur ke Kota Kinabalu, seterusnya dari Kota Kinabalu ke Sandakan bukan trip biasa-biasa. Perjalanan dari pekan Sandakan dengan menaiki bas menuju ke daerah Bilit, Sukau memakan masa 2 jam 30 minit.

Disambut dengan kicauan burung, disajikan dengan kehijauan hutan hujan tropikal dan dihiburkan dengan gelagat lucu monyet-monyet di sekitar resort. Terpaku dan terpesona.

Bukan itu sahaja. Kami manfaatkan peluang yang ada untuk menyusuri Sungai Kinabatangan seawal terbit mentari. Gigih mencari kelibat buaya, proboscis, unggas dan hidupan liar di sepanjang sungai ke-2 terpanjang di Malaysia. Rare! Inilah habitat mereka, inilah rumah mereka yang patut kita hormat.

Rindu untuk termenung jauh di atas bot sambil menikmati keindahan sunrise dan sunset diselangi bunyi simfoni alam.
