โชตะ นาคามะ เป็นผู้ผลิตผลงานเพลงที่ได้รับรางวัลมากมาย ปัจจุบันโชตะอาศัยอยู่เมืองบอสตันในรัฐแมสซาชูเซตส์ เขาถือว่าเป็นบุคคลที่มีชื่อเสียงในฐานะผู้สร้างและผู้ผลิตผลงาน และตำแหน่งผู้บริหาร Video Game Orchestra ซึ่งเป็นคอนเสิร์ตที่มีการใช้เพลงจากวิดีโอเกมยอดนิยม
