Easy Homemade Chocolate Turtle Cake
Ingredients:
1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups pecans
3/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 (14 ounce) caramels
1 1/3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
1/3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 box German or normal chocolate cake mix
Method:
1. Mix the instant chocolate cake mix according to the packet instruction.
2. Pour half of the batter in a 13x9 inch cake pan and bake it at 180C for about 15 mins. Take it out and set aside to cool.
3. Add caramels, milk & butter then in a bowl and melt them on a double boiler or microwave oven, stirring in between.
4. Pour the melted caramel mixture over the cooling cake. Sprinkle one cup of pecans and chocolate chips on top of it.
5. Pour the remaining batter on top and bake it further for about 20 mins. Serve and enjoy :)
