It's very easy to get into an "all or nothing" mindset with health and fitness. To feel like to be "into fitness" you have to be 100% ON IT, drinking green smoothies and training 6 days a week in order to have abs, a perky bum and happiness.
When I started working out I was fastidious in my workout schedule and my food plan, and assumed that people who were fit worked out all the time and had the self control of saints when it came to never having "bad" food.
Turns out one of the least talked about but most important words in fitness is 👉🏼sustainability👈🏼 Is it sustainable for you to exercise 6 days a week, eat only salads and never ever have cake? I'm going to guess the answer is no for most people... 🙅🏼
For me what is sustainable is to do my best week by week. Some weeks I have time to move my body every day, and some weeks life gets in the way and I can't. There are periods of time when my eating is completely on point 👌🏼🥗 and then there are periods of time when I eat more treats (like this week) Does this mean I have been "bad"? Does it mean I'm unhealthy when I have a few bags of potato chips and cookies one week?
Find what is sustainable for you in your life, rather than comparing what you can do to someone you see as "goals" on the internet. Health and fitness is not one size fits all, it's a lifestyle not a quick fix, so be kind to yourself and think long term rather than short 🆗
