Shokupan is a fluffy Japanese white bread which took the world by storm in the past few months. The bread is soft yet chewy with a slight sweetness. What distinguish Shokupan from normal bread is the Yudane method, mixing flour with water and leave overnight before combining with other ingredients. This make bread softers, fluffier and hypothetically last longer.

I had a few options as the background color for #StillGoodEP and we were all discussing (@luftmanp , @charlesnkeys and I ) I love them all!!
Then i stoppeds for a moment and went for the first one as it reminded me of the cover of one of my favourite books #UntetheredSoul by #MichaelASinger ✨ It saved me from those days feeling called from the inside, while being snowed in confusions of my thoughts ✨ if you felt like you’re not in tuned with your heart and soul, you might wanna read it 🔮 ( all the quotes in this post are from Untethered Soul)
coincidently, back in November last year when I was going through a tough time, I found out the Japanese word for this colour ✨ they called it “mizu”… “In Japan, 'mizu' is as different from 'blue' as 'green' is from 'blue.” I guess this colour has become the representation of - well, let me try to come up with a word for it - maybe, “quietly tremendous transformation” to me, like, some sort of transitions… the kind of revolution that doesn’t happen overnight, but little by little each day💓 with both darkness and lightness ✨ if you’ve been with me through my captions, you have probably read it! ✨

Karaage (also called Tatsutaage) is Japanese fried chicken. It is usually cooked for lunch, dinner, or bento. Also, it is the best party recipe favored by most people!

Vegan Karaage (Soy Meat Fried Chicken) Recipe
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 40min (incl. marinating time)
Number of servings: 4
Ingredients:
100g (3.5oz.) dried soy meat blocks https://amzn.to/3zBFQ4m
* 2 tbsp. soy sauce
* 2 tbsp. sake
* 1 tbsp. grated ginger
* 1 clove grated garlic
* 1 tsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. Katakuriko (potato starch)
deep frying oil
lemon wedges if preferred
Directions:
1. In a boiling water, cook dried soy meat blocks for 4 minutes. Or as directed on its package. Wash well (change water for a few times) to remove the bad smell, then drain well.
2. Mix the seasonings in a bowl and marinate the soy meat for about 30 minutes. Overnight is okay, longer makes them tasty.
3. Drain lightly (do not squeeze out the marinade liquid), coat with Katakuriko in a plastic bag.
4. Deep fry in oil at 180C (350F) until crisp golden brown.
5. Serve with lemon wedges if you like.

You can also use an 18 x 8cm / H6cm mold.
80g (0.35 cup) soy yogurt
110g (0.56 cup) brown sugar
80g (0.73 cup) pecan nuts
1 carrot (140g) 5oz
80g (0.35 cup)Vegetable oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
160g (1.28 cup) flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
-Optional-
Cardamom and nutmeg
200g (0.9 cup) cream cheese
40g (0.33 cup) powdered sugar
180°C(356F)50 minutes
Cut the surface of the cake, after 20 minutes.
Wrap the cake in plastic wrap and let it sit overnight.
