Just one more week to the year end holidays!

Okay, technically only three days of school left for these two and I must say we are totally excited about our upcoming plans - family vacations, birthday celebrations, gatherings with friends, playdates and so much more.

We are definitely going to hit the beach soon too because just like their Dad, the kids simply love and enjoy being in the sun, the sand and the sea 🌅.

The year end is always such a busy, messy and chaotic period yet I'm so looking forward to every day of it. Hope you are too! Happy Friday, people!

"Freedom means the opportunity to be what we never thought we would be."

I guess I always knew I wanted to be a mum but I wasn't quite sure if I would become a full time one.

After graduating from university, I wanted to at least try to carve my own career in the media industry. Even when the hubby told me that he was going to Sweden for a year, I decided to stay on in Singapore and continue to work. But when a year turned to four years, we then made plans to tie the knot and move there together. That was when I stepped into motherhood and never looked back as a stay-at-home mum.

Like I've said time and again, it's a privilege, not a sacrifice. It was my own choice to stay in this role when we bade farewell to snowy winters and came back to sunny Singapore. To even have a choice and the freedom to pursue my dream with the hubby's support, I am blessed and ever so thankful.

So on days when I am alone with the kids and they make me wonder why I chose this toughest job in the world, I remind myself that it is my good fortune - maybe 前世修来的福 - to have the opportunity and freedom to be here. Right beside these kids that are and will always be a part of me, who are growing up so fast and I might miss their precious milestones if I blink, who I love so deeply to the moon and back and can never describe this love I feel for them.

P.S. This was taken during our first cruise as a family of four when we stopped over in Phuket to enjoy the waves and the sun. Yup, the little sister was just one! Can't wait to go on vacation when the school holidays come and share more updates here. Have a great weekend, people!
