Back on the roads and heading straight for our final destination - SAPA.

Pushed off at 5:30AM from Hanoi and we've got about 360KM to cover today.

Terrain consists of roads, broken roads, off road, mud, multiple pot holes etc. Apart from the uncertain weather, we'll be encountering other traffic like the locals on bikes/bicycles, animal crossings, trucks that will cross our path hence we're looking to take about 10 hours to reach Sapa with an average speed of 40km/h.

Mountainous roads all the way, we'll be passing through different villages of various ethnic groups which is going to be interesting to see.. and for the safety of not just ourselves but the locals too, we really can't go fast.

Slowly and steady, Sapa here we come!

Pretty much destroyed by the torrential rain that lasted almost our entire 10 hour ride from Dalat to Quy Nhon 😂

As if the rain and cold of 15°C wasn't bad enough, thick fog came in while we made our way through the mountain pass, reducing visibility to just a few metres.

Since I was leading, anything I saw or noticed first, from pot holes to oncoming trucks, or when overtaking slow moving vehicles, I communicated it across to Mel via our waterproof @cardoscalarider #packtalkbold so she would get a heads up.

Rain is part and parcel of every ride, but I'm gonna be honest, it started to feel a little miserable after 8-10 hours of it non stop 😂
Well, at least we're going through it together and made it to Quy Nhon safely! Time to find laundry service that could wash and dry our wet gears for our ride to Danang tomorrow.
