A Canadian Club Old Fashioned... Kinda.
After I've build everything together... Only then did I realise that I didn't have fresh oranges at home. So used a cherry brandy as a (poor) substitute
An old fashioned is not truly an old fashioned without a big chunk of juicy, oily, citrus, tangy orange peel for that added UMPH. To me, anyway. Sigh. And those recipes that asks you to muddle a whole bunch of fruits into it.. I'm just gonna pretend they don't exist.
Canadian club's made with quite a bit if Rye, so this is as close to a Rye whisky as I can get here. Ridiculously cheap too at RM75 for 1L duty free. Already sweet and really palatable on its own (much better than the heavily marketed blue fella and at a fraction of the price). It's now a must have item in my home bar. <3
