The Great Star Theater in San Francisco Chinatown was ground zero for me. That is where I saw Shaolin Temple for the first time which pushed me to learn wushu and maybe was even the seed that made me become an actor. So I am especially excited to be doing this talk at the The Great Star where I will talk about my Bay Area roots, how I ended up in Hong Kong movie industry and even my new film Reminiscence. After the talk we’ll be doing a Q&A followed by an autograph session with I to The Badlands posters while supplies last. 50% of proceeds will go to supporting The Great Star and %50 will go to the Stop Asian Hate Go Fund Me. 【 Best Time of The Year😍 】
This time, I had the opportunity to tour locally as my sister organised a family trip (too sweet💋) to Melacca at one of the best Wellness and Spa Resort! *not a sponsor post, but we all truly enjoyed this experience*!!🙌🏻

Melacca city has become so 😻vibrant with its Famous Jonker Street, Melacca Ricer Cruise, and Chinatown since the last time I visited! With its rich heritage buildings and colonial structure, I really learnt a lot by taking a weekend off, getting lost in the city, and begin to fall in love with Malaysia’s Tourism again!🇲🇾

As you all know, I have never consider travel locally as “Travel” ⛱because traveling within 3 hours flight isn’t in my dictionary, visiting the western countries with flight over 5 hours✈️ is what u truly consider “Adventurer Travel”. 🏜But this weekend has been so fulfilling and satisfying to me🙏🏻😘

"The Artist", Singapore's Hidden Talent

I was walking from Clarke Quay to Chinatown on a Friday night.
I had a few glasses of Guinness that night and was really tipsy.
I was about the approach the tunnel when I started to hear a man busking and singing a rock and roll song.
I wondered who this man would be?
I continued to walk and was mesmerised by his voice. There's a tone that is just wonderful to listen to. It is my first time to have met a busker in Singapore with such a voice.
I wondered, why is he not performing on a stage, I asked myself.
I initially tipped him $10 (as we all should do). But one song was not enough. I spoke to him and asked, " Can you sing more while I film you and I will give you $50?". He replied nicely and said, "Can I pick my own song?".
He started to sing more and more.
As I was there filming, I noticed the crowd started to stop and join him singing.
Some people already knew him and was there to request a song and sing a long.
He had a duet with a woman and sang it beautifully. They covered "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
This video showed his other side. He took a spin of the song "At My Worst" by Pink $weats. I was totally blown.
That night became so meaningful. I was tired and tipsy, but his passion radiated. I continued my journey to Chinatown to film my documentary. For now, enjoy this music.

One of the places I first fell in love with in Singapore, Chinatown. I have not been to a place like this before. What still fascinates me is it’s beauty after a busy day, when all the crowds are gone, when lesser lights dim the place down.
