I've always emphasised to the kids that chores are a part of their responsibility at home. It doesn't matter how old they are or whether it's during exam period; there is no excuse and no reason for not helping out at all.

Cleaning never takes a break for a stay-at-home mum, even if you are preggie. Yup, now that I am in my third trimester, I am thankful to see the big girl stepping up to help with the household chores and ease my burden, despite this being her PSLE year.

When I was her age, I remember helping my mum out too and she had a 'magic' solution for all our cleaning needs. She would ask me to use our bottle of CIF, or previously known as JIF, and it was the product she turned to whenever there was dirt. From the kitchen stove, pots and sink to the dining table, floor and bathroom tiles, CIF could effectively clean almost every surface there was to clean in our home.

Becos' we are a team and we are better together.

School starts tomorrow for the girls but chores still have to be done today, so I am really thankful that they took charge of the laundry while I was making lunch and the boy also stepped up to help out too. Managed to snap a pic so I can remind them how nice and helpful they can be when they want to be. Haha.

The big girl also took the initiative to iron her school uniform and even though there were still creases, the most important thing was she tried to do it on her own.

Yup, so even though the rainy weather is making it hard for our clothes to dry, the good thing is we are in this together and we have more hands to help out these days.

I was packing the wardrobe to make space for the baby's clothes and reminded that I gotta start washing his clothes soon and separately from ours too. Exciting times ahead for sure. Woohoo, and next time we will be doing laundry for a family of six, let's see if we need a bigger rack, haha.
