Let's get this out of the way 1st: this hairdryer costs 399€. And no it's not made of gold. It's just a hairdryer. But is it? 😝.
This is the 1st ever supersonic hairdryer with innovative technology (rumour has it that Dyson spent 50 millions of $ to give birth to this baby). Hands down the most expensive hairdryer ever. Ever.
And if you dont know already: I'm a sucker for pretty things. This hairdryer is mechanically beau-ti-ful! Looks like a design that would come from BMW & Mercedes (together).
It's light, looks like no other hairdryer in the market. And much quieter considering how powerful it is.
But that's not what makes this hairdryer cost an arm & a leg. The hardcore science behind it is. "Dyson reckons it's managed to combine ultra-powerful, directed airflow with a heat protection sensor", "measures air temperatures 20 times a second to help prevent extreme heat damage to protect natural shine".
I'm not a science nerd so that's the most I can get from the 2 inches information book that comes with it. And tbh who cares. The only thing we care about is how different it makes.
These are my honest thoughts:
Boys wouldn't be able to tell any difference. Low-maintenance girls won't bite a tongue to pay that much for a tool to dry their hair. But who understands and adores a good hair day will.
I hate heat-drying my hair. I let it air-dry. I legitimately felt like hairdryers suck life out of my hair. This is the 1st and only hairdryer I've tried that doesn't do that. I always end up with smooth and shiny locks of hair. And it does truly cut down 1/2 of time to dry my full head of thick hair. And there are still some more fun functions added to it that u can read on their website because I'm lazy to list them all here.
In a nutshell: It is special. But it's damn expensive. This is totally a splurge product. If u have the bucks for it, go for it, it's NOT a gimmick. You don't NEEEEEED it in your life but it would be next-level 👌👌👌 to.
After all, it's from Dyson, how could it come cheap?
