The Impact of Mask Distribution and Promotion
on Mask Uptake and COVID-19 in Bangladesh
Overall, the core intervention induced 29 out of every 100 people to wear masks, increased physical distancing and reduced the number of people with symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections by 9 percent. Surgical masks were especially effective in reducing symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections and reduced symptomatic infections in people 60+ by 35 percent.
In villages that received the intervention, mask use increased by 29 percentage points (from 13 percent in the comparison villages to 42 percent in treatment villages). Mask use increased most in mosques (37 percentage points). A pilot and our scale-up activities suggest that in-person public reinforcement is a critical part of the intervention.

So sorry for not updating everyone on my life!
I’ve been busy studying for my exams. ☺️😅
A few days ago, I was facing two difficult online exams, a professional diploma on nursing from both the UK and Australia.😰😰
It’s not easy... because it was a closed book exam, and I couldn’t refer to the textbooks or notes.
During the exam, my heart was pounding. It was tense and exciting. 💻
There were a lot of super difficult questions. 😰
Multiple choice questions actually have two to three answers, out of the five to six options, and true or false questions are not forgiving either...
In the end, this is what I got:
Subject 1: 80 points🎀
Subject 2: 100 points💯
The passing score is 80 points, so a 79 is a failing grade.
It was so close, much harder than I thought, but it was worth it!
At this time of the severe pandemic, I’d decided to earn professional nursing diplomas on nursing from both the UK and Australia.
It has been my dream to become a nurse since I was a child, and it’s also my favorite job.
I really wish to serve and take care of patients in need. 😇
At present, there is a shortage of professional nurses around the world who really understand natural medicine.
So, I hope I can prepare myself in this field. 📝📔
In the future, I hope to contribute to society by working on the front line to save souls when needed.
Of course, I have recently read reports that the front line is very difficult and some health care workers in other countries have had a hard time enduring it.
So far in this critical environment coupled with the viruses’ attack, some health care workers have been forced to give up on this most meaningful and sacred mission...
So, I hope this will encourage more people to join in to save more poor souls for God from being struck down by the illness.
Every cloud has a silver lining, ✝God will look after and preserve us.
Keep it up, everyone! 💪
💝It is more blessed to give than to receive!
May health and strength be with you always! ❤
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. (Matt. 20:28)

The Philadelphia 76ers played such dismal defence against the second-worst team in the NBA that even reformed bad boy Allen Iverson chimed in about the need for practice time.
"Any practice would be good right now," said Iverson, who scored 41 points as the Philadelphia 76ers held off the Washington Wizards 107-102 Friday night. "If we get our chemistry together, we'll be OK."
The Sixers have had very little practice time since the all-star break, which has been especially evident as they try to incorporate Dikembe Mutombo, acquired a week ago from Atlanta.
Mutombo had 16 rebounds and 14 points, including three key free throws in the final minute after Washington tied the game twice in the fourth quarter and closed to 102-100 with 1:19 left.
Coach Larry Brown wasn't too critical of his team, but said he looked forward to four days of practice before Wednesday night's home game against New Jersey.
"Guys have been either sick or hurt," Brown said. "Tomorrow we will walk through some stuff and hopefully iron some things out. I think that it will be helpful for us."
Richard Hamilton scored a career-high 34 points for Washington, which lost its sixth in a row. Mitch Richmond and Courtney Alexander added 17 points each.
The Sixers led by as many as 16 in the third quarter but struggled with poor shooting, bad passes and turnovers.
The crowd turned on the 76ers midway through the fourth, booing as Matt Geiger replaced Mutombo and fouled Christian Laettner, who hit both free throws during a 12-2 run. More boos followed when Hamilton drove for a layup with 8:56 left to tie the game at 86-86, the first time the game was tied since early in the second quarter.
Iverson kept the Sixers in the game, scoring all his team's points for the first seven minutes and making all but one of the Sixers' fourth-quarter field goals. It was Iverson's 15th game this season scoring 40 or more points.
"They shot very well and we made some mistakes down the stretch," said Mutombo, who had three of the team's 14 turnovers. "They had very good views of the basket."
The Wizards closed to 102-100 after a three-pointer by Alexander with 1:50 left.
The Sixers scored nine of their final 14 points on foul shots. Mutombo made one of two free throws with 51 seconds left after Laettner was called for an offensive foul. Mutombo hit both foul shots 15 seconds later after Laettner missed a layup.
"I was proud of the fact that we fought back to put ourselves in a position where we had a chance to win the game," Wizards coach Leonard Hamilton said.
Snow had 15 points and 11 assists, notching his first double-double since returning Feb. 13 from ankle surgery. Snow scored in double figures 11 of 15 games before going on the injured list Dec. 9, but averaged just over five points in the nine games he's been back.

Allen Iverson was trying to stay with his
man on defense when he slammed full-force into Rasheed Wallace and
went sprawling to the floor.
Picking himself up and shaking off the aftershocks, Iverson came
downcourt on Philadelphia's next possession and used a quick
dribble and deft stutter-step to drive the lane and draw two
defenders, leaving Andre Iguodala open at the 3-point line.
Iverson flicked him a pass and Iguodala's shot went in, giving
Iverson another of his 15 assists and putting the Sixers ahead by
double digits midway through the fourth quarter of a 115-104
victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.
"A.I. was phenomenal," said Pistons coach Larry Brown, who was
apprehensive beforehand at the prospect of Iverson having a
breakout game.
Turns out he had good reason to worry.
Iverson played one of the better playoff games of his nine-year
career, scoring 37 points and handing out five of his 15 assists in
the fourth quarter as the Sixers defeated the defending champions
for the first time in their best-of-seven series, cutting Detroit's
lead to 2-1. Game 4 is Sunday.
Iverson led the way as Philadelphia overcame an early 13-point
deficit and then played its best ball in the fourth quarter.
Detroit center Ben Wallace scored a career-high 29 points and
grabbed 16 rebounds, but the Pistons got only two points from their
reserves on a night when they had another 50-percent shooting
effort from the field -- the third time in the series they've made
at least half their shots.
Despite that accuracy, the Pistons couldn't find a way to stop
Iverson after holding him to 35-percent shooting in the first two
games. He finished 15-for-26 from the field, including 2-for-4 from
3-point range, and his assists were one shy of his career-best.
"The same shots he took in Detroit and missed were the same
shots he made tonight," Detroit's Richard Hamilton said. "Every
game Allen comes out he plays with that demeanor. Since I've been
in the league I've never played against him when he's said 'I'm
just going to show up."
Chauncey Billups started as the primary defender on Iverson, and
Hamilton took over the job later in the game. But even when the
Pistons managed to get the ball out of Iverson's hands, he was able
to find open teammates who were able to knock down shots.
Chris Webber scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter,
Rodney Rogers added 15 points, Samuel Dalembert had 14 points and
10 rebounds and Iguodala had 13 points and seven steals for
Philadelphia, which shot 55 percent.
Before the game, Brown said his inside knowledge of Iverson's
tendencies from their many seasons together were of no benefit.
"From a personal standpoint, when you know what someone like
that is capable of, it's not a comfortable feeling," Brown said.
"We all know what he does, and I haven't seen anybody stop him.
The reason we've been successful is we've stopped other people."
Iverson's 15th assist came on a pass to Webber for a jumper that
gave Philadelphia a 105-96 lead with 3:04 left, and Iverson sank a
3-pointer with 1:33 remaining to lock up the victory.
The game was Brown's first postseason appearance in the building
where he coached Iverson for six seasons and took the Sixers to the
NBA Finals in 2001 -- the year Iverson won the MVP award.
"That doesn't seem like a long time ago. Most of those games I
really remember, and he had a remarkable year, but I still think
this is his best one."
No game was more critical to Philadelphia than this one, and
Iverson would not let the 76ers fall into a 3-0 deficit no NBA team
has ever overcome. His 37 points eclipsed his career postseason
average of 30.4, second in NBA history behind Michael Jordan's
33.4.
"This is one game. We've got to feed off it," Iverson said.
"We didn't just play defense, we played offense, too."
