No, it’s not easy.
Everything that’s worth having, isn’t.
I have been struggling with bloating since I was a kid and as I grow older, the issue is becoming more apparent and now each time after I eat, I feel really uncomfortable.
I’ve seen quite a number of gastro doctors and they all gave me similar advice; cut down on dairy and processed/oily food, refined sugar, alcohol, etc as these madderf*ckers are the contributing factors to my bloating problem.
They also told me to eat slower and to take smaller meals.
I never really listened to their tips and just did as I pleased, which most certainly had it’s consequences - me feeling extremely sluggish and unproductive when I consume certain foods.
I know eating tasty but unhealthy food can immediately put us in a better mood, but this instant gratification doesn’t serve me and my body in the long term.
So, I’ve decided to change up my meals to strike a more balanced diet which eliminates a big portion of foods that I really enjoy; desserts and beverages containing dairy.
To be honest, it’s a challenge. My body is currently fighting its own battle trying to adapt to this new pattern and I find myself feeling hungry and craving for sugary food!
Therefore, fruits are now my go to whenever I crave for something sweet!
The upside of this challenge is that, my stomach feels better and less bloated now so I hope to be consistent with this pattern!
I’m also on a journey to getting stronger and fitter through fitness!
A lot of people ask how I find motivation to exercise, especially on bad days.
Actually, all you need to do is to be stronger than your excuses! Make fitness a non-negotiable.
On lazy days, I force myself out of bed, change into my gym wear and blast my ‘Beast Mode’ playlist out loud! This usually does the trick for me!
As much as I try to commit to working out at least 5 times/week, I fail to adhere to it sometimes, but you know what, I never give up.
I just keep trying and trying.
Fitness is a lifelong commitment and I can assure you, only good things come out of it!
I want to be able to have the energy to continue to lead a healthy and active life even when I’m in my 60’s ✌🏾

How you can get all vitamin C you need in just one drink?
I cannot stress enough how important vitamin C is to our body. It can boost our immunity, heal our wounds, make our skin glows, slow down ageing, prevent cardiovascular diseases and the list goes on…Adults are recommended to take 75-90mg vitamin C every day, but how we can achieve this amount in just one drink? Do you know what fruits and vegetables are high in vitamin C? I am going to share with you two smoothie recipes that include food with highest vitamin C, kiwi and bell pepper.
For your information, one kiwi (~76g) provides around 70mg of vitamin C whereas one yellow bell pepper (~120g) provides around 220mg. By drinking one of the smoothies below, you can easily achieve your daily requirement.

About the video:
[Eng] Quite often Hong Kong people make me try foods that I wouldn't normally try, so I have decided to revenge! I was excited to make my friends try Russian food, but of course I didn't want them to like it, so when choosing the products I tried to choose the weirdest ones. Considering how broad Hong Kong food spectrum is, it was quite a challenge, nevertheless I have managed to capture some great reactions !

1.Kvas
Kvass is a traditional Slavic and Baltic fermented beverage commonly made from black or regular rye bread. The colour of the bread used contributes to the colour of the resulting drink. It is classified as a non-alcoholic drink by Russian standards, as the alcoholcontent from fermentation is typically low (0.5–1.0%).It may be flavoured with fruits such as strawberries and raisins, or with herbs such as mint

2.Tvorog
Quark is a type of fresh dairy product made by warming soured milk until the desired degree of curdling is met, and then straining it. It can be classified as fresh acid-set cheese, though in some countries it is traditionally considered a distinct fermented milk product. Traditional quark is made without rennet, but in some modern dairies rennet is added. It is soft, white and unaged, and usually has no salt added.

3. Kefir
Kefir or kephir (/kəˈfir/ kə-feer) alternatively milk kefir, or búlgaros, is a fermented milk drink made with kefir "grains" (a yeast/bacterial fermentation starter) and has its origins in the north Caucasus Mountains. It is prepared by inoculating cow, goat, or sheep milk with kefir grains. Traditional kefir was made in skin bags that were hung near a doorway; the bag would be knocked by anyone passing through the doorway to help keep the milk and kefir grains well mixed.

4. Berezovy sok
Birch sap or birch water is the sap directly tapped from birch trees, Betula alba (white birch), Betula pendula (silver birch), Betula lenta, Betula papyrifera, and Betula fontinalis.
Birch sap is collected only at the break of winter and spring when the sap moves intensively. When fresh, it is a clear and uncoloured liquid, very similar to water, often slightly sweet with a slightly silky texture. After two to three days, the sap starts fermenting and the taste becomes more acidic. Birch sap may be consumed both fresh and naturally fermented.

5. Zasolka
Salting is the preservation of food with dry edible salt. It is related to pickling in general and more specifically to brining (preparing food with brine, that is, salty water) and is one form of curing. It is one of the oldest methods of preserving food, and two historically significant salt-cured foods are salted fish(usually dried and salted cod or salted herring) and salt-cured meat (such as bacon). Vegetables such as runner beans and cabbageare also often preserved in this manner.
