In Thailand, drivers will put spiritual objects on the car console or hang on the rear-view window. Mostly they will be Buddha or famous monk images, or anything they believe that can protect them from an accident. Those faiths might be conflicted by the Global Status Report on Road Safety 2015 made by WHO (World Health Organization). They reported that the number of road traffic death in the world which surprisingly Thailand took the second place of ranking. This report insists the annual regrettable situation in Thailand; between Songkran or New Year festival, many Thai drivers and riders will be killed by car accidents around 300 people and happen in just five celebration days. Someone said ironically that the number might be more than deaths in the civil wars or the epidemic in some countries. This is a painful truth suffering us whether those spiritual things would help us or not.
