Description: Exploring the professional way to install drains in renovating buildings in order to improve public health and reduce the risk of infectious diseases in housing properties, industrial and commercial buildings
Speakers:
Dr Eric Cheng, Senior Lecturer, the BST of the CityU of Hong Kong;
Mr Wong Tak Shing, Past Vice-Chairman of the HK Institution of Plumbing and Drainage, who is a Licensed Plumber with over 40 years of solid experience in drainage works; and
Mr Wong Kin, Proprietor of HK Ducky Ltd, who has long experience in the metal industries and is the innovative team leader in the convex-ring pipe jointing method.
Contents ：
1. Hydraulic jump;
2. Choice of drainage materials;
3. Formation and avoidance of foul leak in drains;
4. Re-interpretation of the SARS tragedy.
