HỌC LISTENING: ĐỪNG ĐỂ THỜI GIAN "CΗẾΤ"

Thay vì lướt web, nghe nhạc hay chơi game, hãy tận dụng thời gian rảnh rỗi nghe podcast xem sao.

Có một app này rất hay ho, tên là Castbox - cung cấp các podcast free trên cả IOS và Android.

Nếu bạn nào chưa biết, thì podcast được ghép từ iPod và broadcast – là cách thức để nghe các nội dung phát thanh trên trực tiếp máy tính/ điện thoại. Một lợi ích to lớn mà podcast mang lại là giúp các bạn học tiếng Anh.

Khi luyện nghe bằng podcast, các bạn nên kết hợp hai việc nghe: bao gồm nghe chủ động (listen) và nghe thụ động (hear). Khi hear, các bạn có thể nghe podcast trong lúc đang ngồi chờ, lúc trên xe buýt, lúc làm việc nhà hay đi gym,... Khi listen, hãy ngồi vào bàn học, thật tập trung nghe, outline các ý chính và có thể làm thêm các bài tập (nếu có) ở cuối mỗi bài podcast. (bạn có thể tham khảo podcast trên trang của British Council)

Quay lại với Castbox, thì app này feature vô vàn podcasts từ các radio, show, audiobook... với nhiều chủ đề thú vị, từ giải trí như phim ảnh, âm nhạc đến các chủ đề học thuật hơn, chắc chắn sẽ có cái phù hợp với sở thích của bạn :D
Ví dụ: Ellen on the go, TED Talk Daily, BBC Learning English Drama,... app cũng có các bài học về ngôn ngữ khác chứ không riêng gì tiếng Anh đâu nhé.

Một trong những cái hay của app này đấy là có thể download podcast và nghe offline. Podcast nào bạn nghe xong rồi, app nó cũng tự biết để xóa đi cho đỡ tốn bộ nhớ :D Ngoài ra, các bạn cũng có thể tìm kiếm podcast theo script. Quá tiện lợi, các bạn nhỉ? :D

Bad Digestion, a four-song EP from Taiwanese hip-hop innovator/songwriter Leo Wang, is a snapshot of life in Taiwan -- or anywhere, for that matter -- in 2021.

Let's start with a familiar everyday scene: you're sitting at a table, chopsticks in one hand, phone in the other. You're shoveling down food with one hand, swiping through emotion and drama with the other.

All this grease and gripe, day in, day out, will eventually get to you. This idea inspired the reggae-driven title track, on which Leo sings: "It's emotion, it's hunger, it's fate, all pulling on me / All these mundane things in the world -- I just want to break free."

Time for a digestif, then. The Taiwanese don't agree on everything, but they agree a meal is always good with white rice, or "Baifun." This cut is Leo's ode to Taiwan's great uniter, and his backing band feeds us a generous serving, dripping with funk.

When the world's hard to swallow, one can medicate, but one can also meditate, as Leo does on the last two songs. The space jazz-rock-infused "Experienced That" reminds us of our cosmic selves, as we are constantly pushed and pulled between positive and negative forces. "Mirror" closes the EP with a morsel of common wisdom worth remembering: when we look at other people, what we actually see is a reflection of ourselves.

Bad Digestion is a release from KAO!INC., and was produced by Jerry Li, who also contributes on electric guitar, and features Adriano Moreira on drums, Eugene Yu (UG) on bass, Tseng-Yi Tseng on keyboard, and Minyen Hsieh on saxophones.

我的版本跟原唱有一些一樣的地方，我用ＥＤＭ的鼓取代搖滾團的感覺，也用了不一樣的和音以和大提琴來支撐這首美麗的歌曲的DRAMA

This is a cover from the famous Taiwanese band Eggplant. My version uses EDM drums instead of the original rock set, there are many
different voice harmonies and a cello to carry the deep emotions of this wonderful song.
And of course, a lot of guitar!!! :pp
