Announcing our 2020 headliner: Syrena- Singapore's First Mermaid!!
Syrena is Singapore’s first and premier professional mermaid performer. In a time when the city of Crazy Rich Asians had never heard of professional mermaids, Syrena carved out a niche, then an empire. Syrena is also the founder of the Singapore Mermaid School (& Pod!), where her progressive syllabus blending mermaid myth and theory with the technicalities of mermaid physicality sees students of all ages learning to embody mermaids in a holistic, meticulously-tiered journey.
Some of Syrena’s favourite milestones include partnering with the Singapore Zoo in 2016 to oversee, choreograph, & perform in Singapore’s first ever mermaid aquarium show; bringing back the sold-out month-long performance by popular demand in 2018.
Syrena has partnered with JW Marriott South Beach to direct & perform weekly signature shows in a beautiful glass-walled tank bar; and has since performed there for clients such as Facebook, Leica UAE, Expedia, and JP Morgan. She teaches her renowned Platinum: Aquarium courses there: a level for adept mermaids which simulates a performative aquarium setting.
Syrena recently launched Singapore’s first outdoor mermaid tank exhibit, and can be found mesmerizing crowds there for the entirety of April 2019.
She also collaborated with ION Orchard’s to perform in Singapore’s first outdoor mermaid installation for their Spring Summer Campaign
