We spent the whole morning opening presents and the highlight was when the kids discovered Santa had come to visit last night, left gifts with personalised cards for them under the tree, finished the cookies and milk they left for him while not forgetting to leave a "Thank You" note.
Tonight will be an exciting time because we will be having a party with our closest family and there will be an exchange of gifts, yummy food and lots of chatter and laughter in our home. We hope you are enjoying every bit of the day with your loved ones too!
P.S. That said, the kids still threw tantrums now and then so it is perfectly okay to hear cries and whines too. A perfectly imperfect day that reminds us how we will always have our parent roles to fulfill, no matter what holiday it is or how much we wish to just eat, sleep and repeat.
