"I love the solitude of triathlons and its training. Honestly I don't think I would have been able to do this sport when I was younger because I would have been so impatient. But now, I look forward to getting out there on the road for hours... on my bike especially. It's a time when I don't have to look at my phone or my laptop, no one can reach me and I have my own me-time. It can be a pretty lonely sport but it has allowed me to discover more about myself and what I am made of. •••
Sometimes it can hurt so bad, but I always tell people that the training is the toughest.. tougher than the race, because you need to find time to clock the hours and mileage whilst trying to balance work, family and a social life. With all the hours of training through the week and more closer to the race, it can get quite time consuming. •••
During the race it hurts like sh*t, especially if the weather gets very hot, but it's very rewarding when you cross that finish line. If I can bottle that feeling of crossing the finish line and sell it, I would be a billionaire."
