好消息!!! 好消息!!! 12年的受虐狗"大頭,已經進入了TSPCA 新家!!!
由於目前TSPCA有找到中途,因此,本協會已在昨日與該飼主完成了轉讓.目前大頭已經拆線,傷口部份都大部份已結痂,昨天還洗了個香香的澡,順便洗去12年的不好歲月!

大頭精神食慾都很好,體力也很好,但因為失血過多,目前還在服用調理貧血的藥物.大頭想上廁所還會用可愛的聲音"提醒"一下,散步也都很乖,不拉繩不會爆衝,牠喜歡所有的大人小孩,.

Great news! DaTou who suffered from serious neglect for 12 years is now in the care of the TSPCA!

We’ve found him a foster home and his previous owner surrendered him over to us! His stitches from his tumor surgery have been removed and he had a long bath yesterday to wash away his 12 years of bad luck! DaTou has a good appetite and normal energy, however still needs to take anemia medications for the time being.

DaTou walks well on his leash and even will let out a cute bark when he feels he needs to go out to the toilet. He also loves people, including children. Thank you to everyone who helped and shared his story, please also do so with this link below: http://www.spca.org.tw/2282338957-da-tou.html

大家好,我是大頭(男生)!
你知道被家人忽略,視而不見長達"12年"是什麼感覺嗎?你知道"12年"沒有外出散步,被不到一尺半的鏈子繫住了我痛苦的歲月,是什麼感覺嗎?你知道兩個大腫瘤持續在我身上長大,流血,流膿,蒼蠅圍繞,卻沒有家人願意帶我看醫生是何等的痛苦嗎?

在上周,我終於被人關心了!!TSPCA兩位姐姐來到我家,讓我上車,帶我去看醫生.12年沒被放開的我,我終於從那"陰暗的小角落"解脫了!雖然檢查傷口的時候我真的很痛,但我一直在"笑"(連醫生姐姐都說我很乖呢),因為我知道大家都是來幫我的!!

醫生姊姊在當天幫我做了緊急手術,摘除那兩顆害我持續失血,貧血的腫瘤,還順利的幫我做了結紮,我現在在醫院休養調理身體中.我現在精神食慾都很好,大小便也很正常,情況好的話,下周六就要拆線了

但是....上次在看診的時候,我聽到爸爸說...要TSPCA姐姐沒找到中途的話,把我接回去之後要把我送進一個叫"收容所"的地方,請問,你知道那是什麼樣的地方嗎?
儘管我聽到SPCA姐姐們一直說不可以,但爸爸還是很堅持的樣子.難道,爸爸那麼討厭我嗎?

我真的很乖,在醫院都沒有亂叫,我的身材短短長長的,比一般米克斯狗狗還矮小.我還有大好的後半輩子想被人疼愛,想像其他狗狗一樣被家人捧在手心中,我想知道"愛"是什麼? 可以請你幫幫我,當我中途嗎?還是你家人朋友願意幫我呢? 拜託,我真的不想回到那個陰冷的家了!!

Urgent!! Urgent!! Urgent!! TSPCA investigation case: Dog in XinZhuanng, “Big Head”, severely neglected for 12 years needs a foster home. (Attention! Graphic Images Viewer discretion is advised.)

Hi, everyone. I am Big Head! Do you know how it feels to be ignored for 12 years? Do you know how it feels to be kept tightly on a leash which is shorter than a meter for an entire life? Can you imagine two big tumors growing inside your body and not being treated for them? Because of the puss and blood from the tumors, flies swarmed around me because of the stench but none of my family would take me to the hospital. Can you imagine how painful that would be?

I finally was taken care of last week! Two nice ladies from the TSPCA came to visit me and brought me to the hospital as soon as they saw my condition. Finally, I was able to leave the “dark small corner” I was kept in for 12 years. Although it hurt me a lot when being examined, I tried to be brave because I knew everybody was here to help me through this ordeal. (The doctor even said I was behaving nicely!)

The doctor performed surgery right away and removed those tumors, which had caused me to develop severe anemia. I was desexed as well. I am now hospitalized and recovering well and getting lots of rest, and nourishment. I feel good and healthy. I have been eating a lot and have normal control of my excretory functions. If my health condition is good and the stitches will be taken out next Saturday.

However, I heard my daddy said that if there is no foster home for me, I would be put in to a shelter. Do you have any idea what a shelter is like? Though those two ladies from TSPCA kept saying no, but my daddy insisted. Does dad hate me that much?

I am really a good boy and smaller than the average mixed breed dog. I haven’t barked while in hospital. I really want to have a happy life in my later part of my life and to be loved and adored just like the other dogs. I want to know what love is. Could you or your friends or family please help and foster me? PLEASE, if not you, then who?! I really really don’t want to go back to the dark, cold corner or even worse and scary shelter!!

* The TSPCA doesn't’ operate a shelter and all our other foster homes are full. Big Head will be out of the hospital in about two weeks and we urgently need a foster home for him. (Our hearts are breaking for Big Head just like all or you are, so please lets everyone focus on finding him a FOSTER HOME. PLEASE HELP!!)

緊急：今天協會調查部門專員拜訪了兩個案件，其中的新莊案件中協會發現一隻長期被飼主忽略的狗狗，飼主是一對老夫婦。這隻狗狗叫大頭，已經12歲，被飼主養在戶外窗戶下方。大頭原本是老夫婦兒女從小帶回家養的狗狗，但過不久，兒女懶得理，老夫婦就繼續養了12年，每天餵飯加狗罐頭和水，一天就一餐。糟糕的是，大頭的肛門附近長了兩個體外腫瘤，已經破皮流血好一整子，但飼主卻不願意帶大頭就醫。原本老夫婦直接對協會說請我們帶走，不想養了，我們與他溝通表示他們明顯已經違法對待動物，必須附上法律責任出資狗狗醫療費，不然我們就通報主管機關進入法律程序。老太太原本說不想花錢醫療，自己也沒有車，協會跟老先生溝通後終於同意由協會開車帶大頭到醫院，老先生陪同並支付醫療費。

到醫院才發現大頭有嚴重貧血，腫瘤導致慢性出血，大頭直接是躺在血水與尿的地上，有很多蒼蠅在吃傷口。因為被長期鏈著，脖子也有一圈的深勒痕。醫生建議要開刀移除腫瘤，手術風險高，飼主現場還拍拍狗狗的頭說“手術一半直接就去了最好”。雖然聽到很痛心，但由於法律規定飼主只要負起飼主責任（就醫，餵養），其他類似惡言無法阻止。飼主承諾會支付全部醫療費，但也表態手術順利後要送大頭進收容所。協會當然阻止，要求他手術後讓狗狗在自己家療養，協會會幫忙找尋中途與新的領養人。老夫婦也表示要照顧孫子無法照顧狗，女兒回家接孫子也會看到大頭這樣痛苦，但也從來沒有關心過...

有些人可能會疑問為何協會沒有直接請動保處介入並開罰，原因是以動物保護法來講，沒有生命危險狀況下法律只有規定勸導飼主改善，如果動保處來也只會開勸導單（法律也沒有規定勸導期限，完全由動保處決定，沒有造成動物死亡行為也不會有罰鍰），飼主因為不想養了一定也會要求送到收容所，到了收容所狗狗也不會得到好的醫療照顧，所以協會才決定要求飼主必須馬上與協會專員一同帶大頭到醫院做治療，並之後協助送養。

協會提出幾個重點：1）兒女不負責任，沒有好好照顧自己帶回家的動物其實常常發生，呼籲大家請不要把自己帶回家的寵物丟給老人家照顧，請付起自己必要的責任心，還有法律責任！

2）老年人不了解動物福利，不了解如何照顧寵物的事件常常看到，教育很重要，希望大家可以告訴自己家長輩保護動物，關懷動物，好好照顧寵物的重要性！

3）法律明顯許多漏洞，無法嚇阻虐待動物行為，所以我們需要大家的支持，支持修法活動，協會也有提出“不當飼養”修法草案，內容包含不當飼養的定義，動物保護法第五條必須有罰鍰（第五條針對基本寵物照顧包含提供醫療），法律也應該明確訂出勸導期限！請大家支持修法！

4）狗狗老了還是很可愛，需要大家關懷，希望愛心人士可以願意中途大頭或領養牠，讓牠可以健健康康的過完牠的一生，請儘快與協會聯絡：spca@spca.org.tw, 02-2367-0317. 協會目前沒有收容所，完全依靠中途家庭來安置狗狗。

緊急：今天協會調查部門專員拜訪了兩個案件，其中的新莊案件中協會發現一隻長期被飼主忽略的狗狗，飼主是一對老夫婦。這隻狗狗叫大頭，已經12歲，被飼主養在戶外窗戶下方。大頭原本是老夫婦兒女從小帶回家養的狗狗，但過不久，兒女懶得理，老夫婦就繼續養了12年，每天餵飯加狗罐頭和水，一天就一餐。糟糕的是，大頭的肛門附近長了兩個體外腫瘤，已經破皮流血好一整子，但飼主卻不願意帶大頭就醫。原本老夫婦直接對協會說請我們帶走，不想養了，我們與他溝通表示他們明顯已經違法對待動物，必須附上法律責任出資狗狗醫療費，不然我們就通報主管機關進入法律程序。老太太原本說不想花錢醫療，自己也沒有車，協會跟老先生溝通後終於同意由協會開車帶大頭到醫院，老先生陪同並支付醫療費。

到醫院才發現大頭有嚴重貧血，腫瘤導致慢性出血，大頭直接是躺在血水與尿的地上，有很多蒼蠅在吃傷口。因為被長期鏈著，脖子也有一圈的深勒痕。醫生建議要開刀移除腫瘤，手術風險高，飼主現場還拍拍狗狗的頭說“手術一半直接就去了最好”。雖然聽到很痛心，但由於法律規定飼主只要負起飼主責任（就醫，餵養），其他類似惡言無法阻止。飼主承諾會支付全部醫療費，但也表態手術順利後要送大頭進收容所。協會當然阻止，要求他手術後讓狗狗在自己家療養，協會會幫忙找尋中途與新的領養人。老夫婦也表示要照顧孫子無法照顧狗，女兒回家接孫子也會看到大頭這樣痛苦，但也從來沒有關心過...

有些人可能會疑問為何協會沒有直接請動保處介入並開罰，原因是以動物保護法來講，沒有生命危險狀況下法律只有規定勸導飼主改善，如果動保處來也只會開勸導單（法律也沒有規定勸導期限，完全由動保處決定，沒有造成動物死亡行為也不會有罰鍰），飼主因為不想養了一定也會要求送到收容所，到了收容所狗狗也不會得到好的醫療照顧，所以協會才決定要求飼主必須馬上與協會專員一同帶大頭到醫院做治療，並之後協助送養。

協會提出幾個重點：1）兒女不負責任，沒有好好照顧自己帶回家的動物其實常常發生，呼籲大家請不要把自己帶回家的寵物丟給老人家照顧，請付起自己必要的責任心，還有法律責任！

2）老年人不了解動物福利，不了解如何照顧寵物的事件常常看到，教育很重要，希望大家可以告訴自己家長輩保護動物，關懷動物，好好照顧寵物的重要性！

3）法律明顯許多漏洞，無法嚇阻虐待動物行為，所以我們需要大家的支持，支持修法活動，協會也有提出“不當飼養”修法草案，內容包含不當飼養的定義，動物保護法第五條必須有罰鍰（第五條針對基本寵物照顧包含提供醫療），法律也應該明確訂出勸導期限！請大家支持修法！
