Portrait shoot for both of us, after gained weight 🤣 Taking photo with our Furkids is really a challenge for us! Lots of Behind-The-Scene on this post, you may swipe left to check it out.
So happy that @bebeoppa finally gained some weight and change his pet food to mainly salmon and vegetables, also a good vet to help him on his recovery process. I’m really thankful that we decided to discharge him and took him away from the previous vet and went to Hand N Paws Veterinary Clinic & Pet Center. The new vet we met is really responsible and don’t remind me that how much money I wasted to pay extra useless test and go through my experience with unprofessional vet. So happy that my bebe recover from it and I remember I was going back and forth in between my work to see him crying at the hospital cage. Thanks to my bro and mom who look after him and now he’s happy happy boy 🐶
I actually planned to have a family shoot last year, wearing gown with bebe and all of our fam member but due to pandemic and covid, all postpone until forever. I even told my friends the concept and wanna have a short trip with bebe at my friend Airbnb house. Then beh tahan already, waited too long we just do the shoot my own lol. Hope soon can bring him out with us again and have a short staycation. So here’s all the photo I wish to share with you guys who concerned about @bebeoppa for the past few months. And also we wanted to record all these beautiful moment before he cut off his long and fluffy hair this week ❤️
Photo credits to my bro @edwinnnnnnnnnnnn and he is shy to be on the camera because he say he gained so much and don’t wanna take photo woh 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ faster workout pls better be handsome during my wedding day in the future hahahaha!

Today’s the day! You’ve adopted a rescued ex street dog and you can’t wait to get her home and introduce her to your family, friends and neighbours. Before you do, just stop for one moment and look at things from your dog’s point of view.
If you’ve adopted an ex street dog this might be the first time she’s ever had to enter a house. It’s very common for ex street dogs to be wary of entering narrow doorways, and simple things like changes in floor surfaces (rugs, laminate, carpet) or a wobbly paving slab can be very challenging for your newly adopted dog.
Take a quick look at the photo below. Break things down and you can see there’s a lot for your dog to consider and navigate before she’s even set a paw inside your house!
Your dog’s previous experience of being indoors might have involved a worrying visit to a vet clinic or a frightening overcrowded dog pound.
The clang of your metal gate might remind her of a dog trap. The shape of your nice shiny railings might evoke memories of being brutally captured with a catch pole. The smell of cigarettes or your household cleaning products could also elicit scary memories.
Whilst living on the streets she had good reason to be hyper vigilant of anything new or unusual in her environment. Many ex street dogs have experienced significant abuse and trauma.
While you are getting to know each other, please take extra care to take things slowly. Don’t expect too much of her too soon.
We get that everyone wants to say hello, but please ask friends and relatives to be patient and come visit in a few weeks, when your dog has had time to explore your home, to trust you, gain confidence and feel safe.
The neighbours and their kids might be super excited to meet your new family member but introductions can wait a while. Explain she needs time to rest and maybe show them a photo of her instead?
Many people can’t wait to take their dog to the local park, but busy spaces and main roads can be overwhelming for newly adopted dogs. Walks can wait.
Please take things gently and let her explore your home, catch up on much needed sleep and if she is ready you can play gentle enrichment games at home.
Even if you’ve previously cared for a dog, please ensure you learn all you can about canine body language and behaviour so you can be aware of how your dog is feeling and what she’s communicating to you.
If you are patient in these early days, weeks and months you will help give your dog a positive and gentle introduction to her wonderful new life.

今天為大家介紹作品No.5的主角 : 黑馬哥
artist : ZOIE LAM @ ZLISM
---------------------------------------------------------

Please do not harm the animals even if you do not like them.
In a mid-night in October 2015, a severely injured dog was found lying on the pavement by the police. It was immediately sent to the authority and Captain Chi Wing was informed by the authority after confirming the microchip details. This injured dog, Black Pony, was under Captain’s Trap, Neuter and Return Programme (“TNR”).
Captain took Black Pony to the clinic for treatment. The vet opined that Black Pony suffered from fractured hind legs, pelvic displacement and urinary bladder. In view of his injuries, the vet commented that Black Pony’s injuries were inflicted by human beings. One could see from this one year-old Black Pony’s eyes that he would survive at all costs.
Unfortunately, Black Pony suffered from allergies to anesthesia during surgery. He was saved once again by the vet after resuscitation. To minimise the risk, the vet operated his 2 legs separately.
Less than 24 hours after his second surgery, the stubborn but strong Black Pony stood on his 4 paws to show his progress and unbendable nature. The bone fracture plate and tibia nail were loosened. Black Pony could finally walk on his 4 paws after the third surgery.
After more than a month, Black Pony could walk by himself again. Even though there were a number of follow up surgeries to be operated on this little boy, all members of Dogbase were so glad to see him recovered.
We would like to express our gratitude towards, Dr. Tiong Hai Hean, Dr. Chueh Ti Jen and the lovely vet assistants for saving Black Pony’s life.
Black Pony joined our Chi Wing DogBase family in November 2015 and he is available for adoption.
