Dim sums in this 1 star Michelin restaurant cost HKD$38 only! What do we think 👇🏻
Yat Tung Heen has been offering this HKD$38 since last year and I finally went to the restaurant last week. I booked the restaurant a week in advance and went there at 11am. The time slot for each session is 1.5 hour so it could be quite rush when compared to typical morning family Yum Cha that you also spend some time reading newspaper and chat with your family members. But it is a very spacious and relaxing place for dim sums.
2 of us went there and have ordered 4 kinds of dim sums. The sizes of dim sums are smaller than those you find in other Chinese restaurants. All are of bite-size. For the minced beef dumpling, I prefer one of bigger size.
The restaurant is famous for its Barbecue pork (Char Siu). At the time we wanted to order it, we found that we have already ordered Char Siu Rice Rolls and Char Siu bun, so we will leave it to next time.
Half of the dim sums on the menu cost HKD$38 and half of them costs HKD$48. There are 3 deluxe selections that cost HKD$68 per piece, including Steamed Fresh Lobster dumplings 龍蝦餃皇，Baked Chicken Puff Pastry with Whole Abalone 原隻鮑魚雞粒酥 and Steamed seafood dumpling in soup with Birdnest and Conpoy 燕窩瑤柱海皇灌湯餃
What did we order? (All are HKD$38)
- Barbecue pork bun 叉燒包
- Barbecue pork rice roll 叉燒腸 (forgot to take a photo of it, the last photo is our only rice roll photo 🌝)
- Shrimp dumplings (Har Gow) 蝦餃
- Minced beef dumplings 牛肉球
How much did we spend? HKD$228 for 2 (including service charge and tea & sauce 茶芥)

ไข่เจียวปูเกือบดัง
Almost-Famous Crab Omelette
ไข่เจียวปูในอีกรูปแบบ ปรุงในกระทะที่ใช้ทำทาโกยากิมา ใช้น้ำมันแค่พอเคลือบกระทะ ใส่ปูอัดแน่นๆ ทอดเป็นก้อนกลมพอดีคำ กินเปล่าๆ หรือกับข้าวสวยร้อนๆ ก็อร่อย
น้ำมันรำข้าว สำหรับทาพิมพ์
ไข่ไก่ 6 ฟอง
แป้งทอดกรอบ 1 ช้อนโต๊ะ
มิริน 1 ช้อนโต๊ะ
ชิโรดาชิ 1 ช้อนโต๊ะ
โชยุ 1 ช้อนชา
เกลือ เล็กน้อย
ปูอัด (หั่นชิ้น) 5 ชิ้น
ผักชี สำหรับเสิร์ฟ
ซอสศรีราชา สำหรับเสิร์ฟ
1. เตรียมกระทะทาโกยากิ ใช้แปรงทาน้ำมันลงบนกระทะบางๆ
2. ละลายแป้งทอดกรอบ กับมิริน ชิโรดาชิ และโชยุ ใส่ไข่ไก่ลงไป ปรุงรสด้วยเกลือเล็กน้อย ตีให้เข้ากันดี กรองให้เนียนดี นำส่วนผสมไข่หยอดลงในกระทะทาโกยากิให้เต็มดี ใส่ปูอัดตามลงไป (ไข่จะไหลออกมาจากพิมพ์เล็กน้อย)
3. พอส่วนผสมเริ่มเซตตัว ให้เขี่ยส่วนของไข่ที่ไหลเกินออกมา กลับเข้าไปในตัวพิมพ์ ใช้ไม้กลิ้งไข่เจียวให้สุกดีทั้งชิ้น จัดลงจานเสิร์ฟ ตกแต่งด้วยผักชี เสิร์ฟกับซอสศรีราชา
Almost-Famous Crab Omelette
With the arrival of Michelin Star in Bangkok, crab omelette became a famous menu across the country. This recipe used the element of the omelette with crab sticks and served in the form of Takoyaki.
Rice Bran Oil for greasing
Eggs 6
Tempura Flour 1 tbsp
Mirin 1 tbsp
Shiro Dashi 1 tbsp
Shoyu 1 tsp
Salt
Crab Sticks (cut into bite size) 5 sticks
Coriander for serving
Sriracha Sauce for serving
1. Heat Takoyaki pan and brush with oil.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine tempura flour, Shiro dashi, mirin and shoyu. Add eggs and salt; mix well and strain. Pour the egg to fill the holes and add crab sticks to each hole. (batter will slightly overflow.)
3. When the bottom of the egg set, use skewer turn each ball upside down. Keep turning so each piece will be evenly round. Transfer omelette onto a plate, garnish with coriander and serve with sriracha sauce.

This is a non halal -storey restaurant, it served pork & alcohol beverages
Ordered the new 6 star menu set which just started in May 2018
According to her preference ranking ya,
1. Stewed pork leg with egg ? ~ Must try!! It’s so well cooked, the juicy tender meat with fat skins (beauty collagen for females ya ) Very tasty delicious
2. The famous drunken flat rice noodles ~ Very tasty to enjoy
3. Green curry rice balls ~ Love the green curry fragrance while I bite on it
4. The Thai chef ?? ‘s special mixed platter ~ Love the use of traditional tray. The Sum Tum aka papaya salad so addictive to enjoy
5. Omelet with crab meat ~ Hmm...Due to too stuff with its rich ingredients, so it’s slightly hard & slightly over-fried too. Have personally informed the business director ??? that night. Wish in next visit, will enjoy it ya
6. Tom Yam ? Seafood ~ A slight salty when enjoyed it solely, however it tastes just all right & nice with rice ya
Enjoyed the freshly made dessert ~Tako with water chestnuts, pandan leaves & coconut milk Tasty to enjoy & not too sweet
A comfy & nice ambiance especially with its glass wall to enhance the overall space impression. The simple tables & stools style as if you’re enjoying street foods
She was impressed when the waiter ??♂️brought & changed her parents’ stools to a more comfy leaning steel chairs comparatively, just so thoughtful in customer services for elderly. Bravo!! Keep it up ya
