Snapped this picture today without the big girl knowing but this was a heartwarming moment that I wanted to remember. You know how you need to think positive thoughts and be reminded of the good things when motherhood drags you down, right? This is definitely one of it.
So I was out the whole day since early morning and when we got home in the afternoon, I decided to take a nap with the younger ones after putting the laundry into the washing machine. Yup, that is a lot of clothes, I know, but we have five people and this Mama doesn't do the laundry daily. Anyway, I decided to wake up earlier before dinner time so I can do the laundry before the kids woke.
It's the midst of the year end exams for the big girl and I half expected her to be reading or doing her homework or revision, if she was not napping in her room. I honestly didn't expect to come out to see her hard at work on the sofa, not on her own work but on folding the clean laundry for everyone. By that time, she had already hung the newly washed laundry onto our three-tier clothes rack, all by herself. It must have taken her over an hour to do it on her own, climbing here and there, taking down, putting up and folding the clothing one by one, so I was really touched to see that scene. 内心中的感动是真实的.
She told me she had already decided to do it on her own when she spotted the laundry in the washer so I could take a rest today. Awww. Thank you, my dear Angel. It's okay if you chose not to do your revision for this afternoon because what you did for us out of your own accord far exceeds that already.
P.S. The little sister woke up and was upset to see all the laundry done because she said she had planned to do it after her nap too. Haha. That was a funny moment yet it was a reminder on how blessed I am to have not one but two daughters in my life. Love you, my dears. ❤
