Yesterday was a bit like a roller coaster ride for me. It was a bit messy in the qualifying round as i lost control at the second corner which forced me to hit four sponges (which affected my speed) to clocked 10.194 seconds, putting me at 10th placing.
.
Consequence to my slower qualification time, my road to sprint final was tougher as i need to race against faster opponents since the early rounds. I tried not to loose my focus and put my best show on every single ride with the goal to make into the finals. With the determination and hardwork, i finally made the final for Gold to race the Chinese, Xu Chao.

We have met in the sprint match many times, and i can say everytime when we’re racing against each other, it’s always a tough one. I knew it’s going to be a three round race as we both sharing one thing in common, toughness. Xu Chao controlled the race really well on the first round and i made some adjustments on the second round to make it equal and go into the decider round. For the last race, i give full credit to my coach, John Beasley who gave me a very good tactic and instructions that leads to my win. Apart from that, i would like to congratulate my team mate, @shahfirdaus95 who won Bronze medal (i wished we can race for gold, maybe next time). This guy have a lot of potential and has a bright future. He’s going to be the future champ, that’s for sure.

I am so happy with this achievement as it is my 9th Asian Champion Title and also a bounce back from the disappoinment from the Keirin the other day. On top of that, i also gained massive points for the Tokyo Olympics qualification for my individual sprint event which another good news for me. I would like to thank everyone for the support and prayers and this victory is ours.
