Trying to catch the light, chasing moments, and living life in colours.

It’s been a month since I’ve stayed home due to the self-quarantine and MCO situations, and I miss chasing the light. All I (or we) could do now is to appreciate what I (we) can from where I (we) are. Now and again I would fly my drone not just to capture recent sunsets, but also to try to live in the moment through them. As with all things, this too shall passed. Hang in there guys.

I don't remember which library I picked up "music writing" from which library in chula, but I remember this is a book that added an important compound into my brain and forged. One thought in my head until today, that thought is still going anywhere.

The idea that is " many more

Quick one today! One of my favourite film stocks is actually Kodak Gold. It might not be the fanciest or the most hype but its the film stock I shoot with the most. It's affordable and gives me a look that I enjoy.

I've always wondered the results of pushing this film. Part of me really wanted this to be a hack where I can get an 800 speed film for cheap and.. I was wrong. Results were pretty horrible :(. Should have shot this on a brighter day. This is one of a few videos I plan to do to see how far I can make the most of my favourite film stock!

Got my hands on the brand new RF 70-200 F4 IS USM for a couple of days. I tried my best to bring it out on a couple of shoots (not many due to the lockdown) to test it out. This isn't a review because I believe reviews should come from long term use, but rather and in depth first look/impressions of this lens. I wanted to answer a few questions such as size, weight, bokeh and usability. After a few days of testing out the lens, I feel I have a good idea on what this lens is good at and where it fails. I also briefly compare it to the 2.8 version. Hope this video helps!

The milky way season is almost starting over here in Malaysia, but from where I am living it is currently still under Movement Control Order (MCO) aka lockdown with some restricted travel laws in place.

Apart from the global pandemic situation, year 2020 was also a hectic year on a personal note as I take on a new role with a production studio assigned to me. Hence, I have only managed to make 1 trip to shoot the milky way on the entire year.

Year 2019 was the starting point for all of this. With a couple of photography enthusiasts friends, we head on to shoot the milky way. Since then I have been in awe with the galaxy, stars and solitude associated with shooting the milky way.

I hope that this year will be a better year, as I wish to explore further into milky way timelapse.
