I have always loved children. So much so, I wanted to call my Daycare, “Daphne’s Daycare”. One of my previous cars bore the plate number DD32. 32 because my favourite number is 6. But I can’t afford a one digit registration plate and 3 x 2 = 6.
Close enough. Lol!
Sold it off because the number was considered bad luck for me.

Tea FM 为指定电台，砂拉越儿童癌症协会从9月20至10月6号将在 The Spring购物广场举办”金丝带癌症醒觉活动”。这项醒觉活动主要的目的在于提高公众对于儿童癌症的认识，活动期间的周六和周日也有一系列的趣味活动、商品销售、志愿服务及每月捐赠计划柜台服务等。

The international symbol for Childhood Cancer is gold ribbon. Gold represents flame of hope. The purity and value of the children’s heart. Also, our children are as precious as gold.
Tea FM and Sarawak Children Cancer Society are working together for September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with the support of UiTM, to host The Gold Ribbon Gallery. Together we can raise awareness and learn more about the basic signs and symptoms of childhood cancer. We are also encouraged to do more by joining in for their weekend roadshow. They have merchandise sales, fun activities for the kids, volunteering opportunities and more.
The gold Ribbon Gallery opens from September 20th to October 6th 2019 at The Spring Shopping Mall, Kuching. So, let’s all do our parts in giving back to the community as much as we can.

Today at the ward,
Some kids turned a year older today,
And that made everyone around really happy.
Another birthday,
Another year.
They made it!
It's a celebration of hope.

As they battle the many battles that lie ahead...

"As I sat opposite her on the swing,
I watched her with amazement as she told her story.
I didn’t really know how to react..
Fear has been so real for this little one.
A kind of fear that many of us would never really know.
She was really honest,
and told me that she was really sad at first.
Especially when she had to lose her hair.
But after it all,
the girl before me…
she’s smilling.
After the interview.
She cheekily fiddled around with my camera,
and proceeded to pester me with questions about boyfriends.
She was such a joyous bundle.
Despite everything she’s been through,
she chose to be happy.
That’s courage."
