With her birthday falling just three days before Christmas, this girl has been blowing out candles on log cakes for the past few years. It's one of the seasons she loves the most too since we always celebrate it with friends and family over yummy goodies, crafts and gifts exchange.

This year, her birthday celebration in school - which is also her last - came early as today marks her final day of being a preschooler. Yup, it makes me sentimental just to even say that as I get ready to walk her to school on this familiar path for the last time.

Thanks to Eatzi Gourmet Bakery for sending over this gorgeous Truffle Log Cake for our special day. Everyone in class, including the teachers, were raving about how absolutely delicious this chocolate flavoured cake was and not a single bit was left at the end of our snack break. Yay!

P.S. The personalised cake topper and the wall decor are both handmade, nice or not? Well, she definitely loved them and appreciated Mama's efforts. Yippee!

A simple birthday card, to me, is worth much more than a lavish gift. In this week's Creativity 521, we decided to make easy DIY pop-up cards because my big girl said she wanted to learn to make one.
