This boy turns 5 today! 🎂

We are staying home to do the chores and eat before we head out to the Night Safari tonight which is one of his favourite places to visit. Woohoo!

The sisters lovingly wrapped gifts for him which contain the things he love most, like a chocolate egg, origami and stationery that he likes (but belongs to them, haha). They also wrote cards for him too because nothing beats a handmade, personalised card filled with words of love.

I made an Avengers pop up card with a special message to let him know that he will always be my little prince and my baby boy. Yup, having been the youngest for five long years, I think he is in for a big change once the baby brother comes along. But I hope he knows that some things will never change, like our ❤ for him will always remain the same, if not more.

Happy turning the big 5, my dear boy. Love you so, so much and thank you for being my cheerful, happy boy who makes me smile every day. 爱你哦!

This year will mark our 15th year celebrating Valentine’s Day together. Looking back, every year was celebrated in different ways, in different seasons of our lives. We started out by gifting each other really simple but meaningful gifts- me giving him a handmade card filled with lots of poetic love confessions (swipe to view 🙈) and him giving me a simple necklace-earring set from Above (anyone still remembers this shop? It’s still around!). We didn’t have much money in our pockets as young students, so I made cards for many years and he bought me gifts within his student budget range. Nothing fancy, but they were all thoughtful. And we were contented and happy. 15 years on, all I want this year is just some good family time together over a hearty meal, just the 3 of us (before a new member joins us soon!). It really isn’t about the gifts, but the thoughts and heart put into remembering your loved ones on Valentine’s Day, be it your partners or parents, friends and simply just people who matter.

Ps：漢斯製作非常時尚的手工作品 HANS'HAND works，如手環，鑰匙扣和各種男女小配件。週末跟假日他都在駁二的手工市集擺攤。我很喜歡他設計的獨特性和個性 - 甚至我們家小狗麻吉的牽繩也是他手工編的🐺🖤💕 有機會去逛市集的時候可以跟害羞不給我拍臉的漢斯打個招呼🙋🏻🤣

Hans is a talented friend of mine who has always taken time to support me, to help me with detailed handwork in my shop, read every single one of my posts, and send me honest “chin-up” , “you-are-good-enough” and “go-for-it” messages when I felt like shit and my confidence was buried in the ground💩

The first day we met he gave me a handmade gift, for NO reason. I was so surprised, because he did the same to my friends, and other strangers! No matter how old or young the people are, where they’re from, boy or girl, even dogs, he is one of the few persons I know, who takes time to make gifts for STRANGERS. And the adorable thing about it is - he NEVER EXPECTS SOMETHING BACK! ❤️

Throughout the two years I’ve got to know him, he has inspired me to do the same, to just give a little more love, care and time to people who don’t even ask for it, just because... no reason. Because it makes you feel good, it makes you happy! And because maybe, just maybe, these strangers that you treated kind will do the same to other strangers too - because they were inspired by YOU.

Had so much fun preparing v'day surprise for him! Wanted to share with you guys a little about my life and also share the joy of this occasion :) From buying small gifts, to handmade oreo chocolate truffles, to floating donut dinner!
