Find that ‘fairy glow’ on your skin
Humans are inherently drawn to beautiful things. After learning a trick or two about photo editing such as cropping the photo and adjusting the exposure and the color temperature, the next important editing skill to focus on is the skin and body shape enhancement.
By clicking a button on the editing tool, we can remove acne and dark eye circles, hence improving the condition of our face. By applying a filter on the photo, we can even make our skin glow like a fairy!
Instead of immersing in the world of editing, why not focus on improving the condition of our skin and body? According to the Chinese Medicine theories, the symptoms that appear on our face reflect the health of our internal organs. Once we take good care of our organs, our skin will glow naturally like a fairy, and we will look the same from a photo or in person.
3 common problems with our complexion
1) Symptoms: skin is dull, dark, and lacklustre; spotty
Cause: weak circulation of qi and blood
Tips to improve the condition: invigorate the blood by consuming an appropriate amount of black fungus, beetroot, and hawthorn, or drink rose tea.

Be cautious with medicinal herbs that aid pregnancy
“My mother-in-law is very eager to have grandchildren. Recently she gifted me a lot of Bak Foong pills, claiming her friend’s daughter got pregnant after eating them. Are they suitable for me?”
CheckCheckCin: There are many varieties of Chinese patent medicines available for women in the market, some find them effective; some do not. The effectiveness of these medicines depends on individuals’ body condition; hence, it is wise to understand their ingredients first.
There are many manufacturing brands of Bak Foong pills, but they share some similar medicinal values – replenish the qi, nourish the blood and regulate menstruation. The commonly used ingredients are black bone chicken, Angelica root (‘dang gui’) and Astragalus root (‘huang qi’). They are warm in nature, suitable for individuals with qi and blood deficiency. However, the effect may backfire for individuals with damp heat body condition, those who are susceptible to blood stasis, or those with yin deficiency, as they are not suitable to replenish qi and blood.
Before taking the pills, consult a registered Chinese medicine practitioner first to understand your body condition, so you can decide on the treatment accordingly. On regular days, you can boil rice water with black beans and black sesame seeds to nourish the kidney and help grow healthier and darker hair; individuals with busy schedule can drink tea that soothes the liver or herbal tea with floral fragrance 2 – 3 times a week to relieve stress.
✔Beauty Tea Recommendation:
Stress
Ingredients: Rose, Sweet Osmanthus, Fingered Citron, Fingered Citron Flower
Effects: Promotes qi circulation and relieves stagnation. Suitable for busy lifestyle, frequent sighing, stressfulness and menstrual discomfort
Note:Not suitable for pregnant or menstruating women.
✔Herbal Tea Recommendation:
Dragon Fruit Rose Tea
Ingredients: Water, Dragon Fruit Juice, Rock Sugar, Honey, Rose, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Oolong Tea
Effects: Relieves stress, moistens the bowels to relieve constipation. Suitable for difficulty passing stool, stress, frequent sighs, and dull complexion.
Note: To relieve menstrual discomfort, have this tea 3-7 days before period.
Not suitable for menstruating and pregnant women.

How mama introduce full cream cow’s milk along with breastfeeding to Joreen?

Mama used to serve full cream cow’s milk during Joreen's snack time as her healthier snacking choice! She loves it when it is served together with her favorite snacks eg cereal, fruits, cheese, homemade pancake, homemade muffin.. The milk was served in her straw cup as she does not take milk bottle. She drinks really well! This does not affect Joreen's breastfeeding at all. No nipple confusion!

Sometimes mama even added full cream cow’s milk into her food! Joreen super loves it!

Sharing my humble recipe on
Mini Creamy Bake Spaghetti ❤️
.
Method:
1. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water. Drain.
2. Pan fried pre marinated chicken with unsalted butter till golden brown. (Chicken marinated with sesame oil, garlic powder, minced onion, thyme, mix herbs for 10 min)
3. Pan fried salmon & break them into smaller pieces (marinated with lemon.)
4. Saute white mushrooms with butter. Add in chopped brocoli. Cook till slightly soft.
5. In a large bowl, whisk full cream cow’s milk together and 1 egg
6. Add in Bega shredded cheese, @liloikanbilis powder , mix herbs, minced onion & garlic powder, cooked spaghetti, sautéed mixture and combine well.
7. Spray olive oil on the oven proof dish. Pour mixture in. Top with shredded cheese.
8. Preheat oven & bake for 15-20 minutes, 250o. Bake until the sauce is thick and the cheese is melted
9. Sprinkle mix herbs & serve.

Greek yoghurt is such a versatile ingredient which can be used as a cream, butter or mayo replacement.

HEALTHY BANANA WALNUT MUFFINS (serves 12)
1) 1/2 cup greek yoghurt
2) 1.5 cup Rolled Oats
3) 2 Bananas, mashed
4) 2 eggs, beaten
5) 2 tbsps. Honey
6) 1/4 cup crushed Walnuts
7) 2 tbsps. Cranberries
8) 1 tsp. Baking Soda
109Cals per muffin
Steps:
1) Pre-heat oven to 180C or 350 Fahrenheit.
2) In a large bowl, mash bananas, whisk in eggs, greek yoghurt and about honey. Stir until well combined and set aside.
3) Blend, rolled oats until fine.
4) In a separate bowl, mix in all the dry ingredients, oats, baking soda, crushed walnuts and cranberries.
5) Combine wet and dry ingredients together. Keep mixing until you get an even batter.
6) Divide equally to 12 cupcake liners and bake for 15 minutes or until muffins are cooked through.
LOW FAT CREAMY MUSHROOM SOUP (serves 6)
1) 1 cup Greek Yoghurt
2) 400g Mixed Wild Mushrooms, sliced
3) 1 large Yellow Onion, diced
4) 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
5) 4 cups Vegetable Stock
6) 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
7) 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
8) 2 tsps. Mixed Herbs
9) Salt & Pepper to Taste
96Cals per serving
Steps:
1) Sautee garlic, onions and mushroom until fragrant and golden brown. Set aside.
2) In a large pot, add vegetable stock and 3/4 of the sautéed ingredients and bring to a boil.
4) Remove from heat and puree all the ingredients with a hand blender until creamy and smooth.
5) Stir in the remaining mushrooms, greek yoghurt and season with lemon juice, mixed herbs and salt and pepper. Serve hot.
HEALTHY “MAYO” DRESSING (makes 8 tablespoons)
1) ½ cup Yoghurt
2) ¼ cup Mint Leaves, finely chopped
3) 1/2 tbsp. Lemon Juice
4) 1 Garlic Clove, minced
5) Pinch of Salt & Pepper to taste
19Cals per tablespoon
Steps:
1) Simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
2) You can choose to chill in the fridge before serving.
3) Mix it with chicken breast, chopped onions and cranberries and to make a hearty chicken sandwich. Or spread it with eggs to make a much healthier egg mayo sandwich.

⇨ Day 1
☆ Chocolate Protein Smoothie
2 TBS Tropeaka Lean Protein Powder
2 TSP Tropeaka Immunity
1 TSP Tropeaka Maca Powder
1 TSP Tropeaka Cacao Powder
6 ice cubes / almond milk
250 ml of almond milk
20g of Brazil Nuts
Banana (Optional)
☆ Burrito Bowl:
Beef (Porterhouse, Scotch Fillet, or Rump)
2-3 Tomatoes
1 Large Avocado
Button Squash
Sour Cream (optional)
Cheddar Cheese (optional)
Salad Leaves
1/2 Red Onion
1 Lemon
Corainder
First make pico de gallo. Chop up 2 tomatoes, 1/2 a red onion, some corainder. Mix them in a bowl and squeeze in 1/2 a lemon or 1 lemon.
Mash up your avocado and add the remaining lemon or lime. Your preference.
Chop up the steak into small cubes and fry it over stove with coconut oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Then just mix them all together in a bowl. Use your favourite salad leaves, or vegetables. I've roasted some squash here as well.
⇨ Day 2
☆ Matcha Protein Cleanse Smoothie:
1 TSP of Tropeaka Matcha
1 TBS of Tropeaka Vanilla Lean Protein Powder
2 TSP of Tropeaka Ultra Cleanse
Stevia (optional - I use a few drops)
Banana or your favourite fruits (Optional)
1/2 an Avocado
250ml Almond Milk/Coconut Milk
☆ Smoked Salmon Salad
Honestly I just mix everything together. I don't have measurements of this one.
☆ Kale, sweet potato and Roast Chicken
I rarely ever roast my own chicken anymore. I just buy them from the local charcoal chicken store.
I coat my sweet potato with some coconut oil and roast it in the oven for about 15-20 mins in total. Flip the sweet potatoes once.
For kale, i normally stir fry is quickly with some coconut oil and salt so that it's easier to digest.
⇨ Day 3
☆ Matcha Chocolate Truffle
200g of Cacao Butter
28g of Coconut Oil
80ml of coconut Cream
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Stevia/erythritol (To taste - you can add both)
For the coating:
Some matcha powder and erythritol (Swerve) - mix them together.
This is actually quite hard to make.
First melt the cacao butter and coconut oil slowly using a double boiler. Make SURE you don't burn the butter. You'll have to do it VERY slowly. I melt probably about 3/4 of the cacao butter then i chuck all the rest of the ingredients in the food processor and blend them together so that it is like a ganache texture. Not watery, more like creamy! Add your favourite sweetener. You can use coconut sugar, caster sugar, honey, maple syrup, etc. Then pop the mixture into a piping bag or a zip lock bag and squeeze them into an ice cream/ chocolate mold. Then freeze it for about 15 minutes or so, or longer.
Then take it out and let it rest for a while before you coat them!
☆ Prawn + Squash + Salad
I just roast the squash in the oven for about 15 mins. Coated with coconut oil and salt
For the prawns. Just fry it with some coconut oil, some tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic, ginger and turmeric. Very easy.
⇨ Day 5
☆ Matcha Chia Seed Pudding (SUPER TASTY)
1 tsp of Tropeaka Matcha Powder
30g of Chia Seeds
50ml of Full Coconut Cream
70ml of Almond Milk
1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
A few drops of Stevia or Maple Syrup
Let it set in the fridge!
Taste sooooo GOOODDD!!! I love the pudding!
⇨ Day 6-7 recipes are really basic. I get the fatty king fish cuts from our local japanese grocery. Very GUD!
