The only skill that will be important in the 21st Century is the skill of learning new skills. Everything else will become obsolete over time.
-
I was completely new to photography & filming📷 just a few weeks ago. To be honest, I was hesitant to take action because I know there are lots of new things to learn. Shutter speed, frame rate, aperture, ISO....all these sound very confusing and complicated to a newbie🥴
-
Not only that, I still need to fork out at least a thousand dollar for all the beginners equipment😳
-
But I knew photography, filmmaking, video editing...all these are considered “High Income Skills”💸. No matter what business or whatever endeavors I pursue, I knew they are extremely valuable skills to have.
-
As a hustler, I knew what to do. I took immediate actions after I did my due diligence on what gears to buy and who to learn from things like that.
-
There has got to be a starting point for everything. If you don’t take action, nothing will happen. Your life will still remain the same and you’ll not reach your goals and dreams✈️. Don’t let fears and/or the unknown hold you back.
-
I’m still a newbie at photography & filming making. Yes I suck but I take action. I’m completely fine if I look stupid. What’s important is that I’m learning and hustling💪
-
Open your mind and your heart to embrace learning. Once again, FOLLOW YOUR HEART❤️ NOT YOUR BRAIN🧠
-
Let me know in the comments below on the things you’re learning right now. If you’re not actively learning anything right now, just be honest with yourself.

Perhaps this will be the last post before I go for CNY travelling.Just to share with you my little experience for the past few years in photography, also inspired by yesterday's night portrait:
1)Do get yourself a bright lens (f/1.8 or below) lens for night portrait. Also a tripod if you cannot shoot steadily under 1/30 second. To prevent shake
2)Know your very own camera well, especially how high is the ISO value can be boosted.Do not get beyond the unbearable noise level(luckily my baby is still clean at 1600)
3)To diffuse your flash .For a better result prepare two LED video lighting.I suggest LED video lighting is because you can foresee the lighting on the face (highlight and shadow)before you press your shutter rather than keep on adjusting the flash power level.
4)Why flash is not affected by shutter speed?this is because Flash travels at the speed of light, our shutter speed is just far far slower than it.To prevent harsh lighting on face you have to manually adjust your external lighting or diffuse it properly.
Last but not the least, this is a very important advice for the newbies,do improve yourself for a better photo but not expect a better or expensive lens/body to get a better composition.Photographer is the one framing the subject and camera is only the tool .A better lens/body can only enhance your photo quality but not improving your skill.
Cheers and Happy CNY for all!

Here is a new video of my BTS series, this time I'm showing how I shoot portraits under the stars! :
To be honest, this kind of portraits are the easiest to shoot! Well, that's because for all of them the settings are the same! Here are my most used settings for Star Portraits: Shutter speed - 30 sec, F/4.5, ISO-1600, WB-2700K! For this shot I am using 12mm focal length!
星空ポートレート
星空ポートレートはちなみに一番簡単だと思います!だって、設定ほぼ変わらないし、構図をうまく探すだけ!こんな設定で撮ってますよ! SS30秒、感度1600、f/4ぐらい!WB: 2700K

Welcome to my Youtube Channel! Stay tuned for my making videos, I'm starting to upload them now! I hope you share it, because I'm just starting it now! Here is the first video, and to see the whole article about it check my blog post below:

This time I'm uploading another few shots, with a dramatic making video like last time I did! It was a really windy day, and and if you are afraid if high places don't watch the behind the scenes video! I'm using only one light for the whole shoot! Check out the info below for some off-shots and tips on how how I lit the model from above! I hope you like it, so I might be posting some other strobist making videos soon!
Lighting
For this photoshoot I'm using a single light, Shoot-through Umbrella, since it was the only light source I had and I know it could be held in this angle without losing any parts in the river! It was a cloudy day an I was at the limit of my sync speed, and since I wanted to shoot at wide open aperture on my 135mm F/2 lens, so I had to drop my ISO settings as low as 50, and had my shutter speed at varying between 1/160 and 1/250 sec! I trigger the strobe by Pocket Wizard II Plus, but since I only had one trigger! This is a really simple setup that I have been using quite often at that time! My strobe was at around 1/2nd power setting!
