If you ask me which part of Japan was the highlight during our trip?
I would say Kyoto for cultural experience and staying at gassho zukuri Shirakawa-go..
Tokyo is very lively at night but the city is too hectic.. perhaps i prefer laid-back kind for holiday.. or next time i should go to park enjoy the japanese garden and scenery..
How about you, do you prefer city destination or more peaceful destination?

《八寶盒:2020年催旺大人財運小孩學業運的風水大法》
8IGHT TREASURES CHEST: 2020 WEALTH & ACADEMICS FENG SHUI
(English version below)

The number 8 is especially loved by the Chinese people. At first I only knew it was because the number 8 when spoken in Mandarin is quite similar sounding to the Chinese character “發”, which symbolises prosperity, hence it is a hot favourite among the Chinese. Later on, as I officially started studying Chinese Metaphysics, I then truly understand that this number 8 has a little-known "identity" . Those with knowledge of Feng Shui basics would know that between the Year 2004 to 2023 is known as the Period of 8, the current luck period of our world. One can say that whenever and wherever you encounter the number 8, prosperity will follow. In my previous writings, I had introduced and revealed that some shopping malls had specially changed or weaved the number 8 into their logos.
Does it mean that everyone can use the Number 8 which is currently in power? The answer is both a yes and a no. Take for example, the sunlight is needed by all living beings, yet there are some people who get a heat stroke easily. Once, a Dharma brother told me that whenever he went to Bishan Junction 8, he would feel dizzy. This is my opinion: it is best to evaluate together with your favorable element needs.
Attention all Mothers! Master Dai Hu is about to give you a present. There is a local bakery brand by the name of Four Leaves. Its logo embodies the Wealth Star of the current Period of Eight. Hence its years of operation in Singapore is equivalent to the age of an adult. It is also the only local bakery to enter the Japanese supermarket market locally. This indicates that the bakery is in the period of power and prosperity. Mothers ought to often buy breads from Four Leaves for your young children at home, as their breakfast or snacks at school. It can empower them in their quest for academic success!
The opposite of prosperity is, of course, decline. All these years, I have observed many families who no longer enjoy the same prosperity as before. What is the reason for this? The reason has always been about the erroneous thinking of people. They think they should cut back on spending whenever possible, to avoid exhausting their finances. The truth could not have been further from this. To harbour this mindset and exhibit this behaviour at the beginning of a new year, only means that you did not catch on to prosperity. Thus be prepared to scrimp and save for the entire year.
If you are sick and tired of leading life on this kind of “saver mode”, during Spring Festival, please do the following: Set up a festive formation at the area diagonally opposite your main door entrance, generating joy and happiness in both the hosts and the guests. When the Wealth God sees this from the heavens, He will naturally bestow you with good fortune and wealth. This is called riches borne by the amiability of Qi. Do you understand? Do you know how?
Place a round wooden table at the corner diagonally opposite your main door entrance. Drape a red table cloth over it, and place a pot of Zamioculcas on it. This is followed by surrounding the potted plant with festive foodstuff. Of course, there are several other methods! Let me bestow you with a little known secret technique! Get a new note of one-thousand or one-hundred denomination and paste it under your table top. Since this is supposed to be a secret, please do it in secret. Let Master Dai Hu tell you the truth. Ghosts and gods are abound in the realms of ten directions. After your life improve, you must not be lazy and over-indulge in enjoyment. You ought to be charitable at all times and give joyfully to the needy. Your sources of wealth will naturally come forth in succession. And there always be a Eight Treasure Chest in your life.
NOTE: The Feng Shui formation is valid for the entire year.

[10 REASONS WHY ASIANS DON'T GET FAT]
Now of course, there are Asians who are fat or chubby, so the title is a bit of a generalized statement or stereotype, but as a whole, there's definitely some truth to it. Genetics is an obvious factor so I'm gonna leave that one off the list.
1. Fish & Seafood
Asians eat a lot of seafood. The biggest benefit to eating fish is the omega-3 fatty acids. Fish gives our brain and body the DHA & EPA it needs. EPA in particular has been shown to prevent obesity. 1.5 to 2 grams daily of fish oil can produce weight loss of a couple pounds over a period of a month.
2. Cooking Methods
If you compare Western and Asian eating habits, sure they both consume deep fried foods, but Asian countries vary their cooking methods a lot more.
3. Food Perception
How people see and experience food can be different depending on where you are. In America, for example, food is seen more as entertainment. There is desire, joy and anticipation associated with eating. Not that it isn't in Asian countries, but it's a lot more toned down. Eating has more of a practical feel, in many cases closer to being a chore rather than entertainment.
4. Portion Size
Asians eat smaller portions. Food is often served in small serving bowls and small plates and this helps regulate how much is consumed in one sitting. Now if we take a look at America? SUPERSIZE!
5. Leafy Greens
Asian portion size in general might be smaller, but their vegetable portion size is consistently larger. In many Asian countries, people don't even need to be reminded to eat their veg. It's just ingrained.
6. Drink Habits
It is a common belief that drinking water, especially cold water, with your meal is a habit that one should avoid, as it dilutes your digestive enzymes and makes it harder for your stomach to digest food. Americans often drink cold water or sodas with their meals, not so much for Asian people however. Rather they drink hot teas before or after a meal. I should note that many experts say this is greatly exaggerated and that it's generally ok to drink water with your meals.
7. Population Density
Many Asian countries & cities are densely populated. There are lots of people living in small apartments and almost everything you need is just round the corner. Leading one to possibly conclude that many Asian people must exert less energy in their daily lives. In actuality, Asian people in this circumstance may end up walking more. With everything being in close proximity, they are more inclined to just walk to their destination, whereas in many Western countries, distances are often too great.
8. Fermented Foods
Asians consume more fermented foods such as miso, natto, tempeh, kimchi, kombucha, etc, and this is not just good for your gut health, but helps reduce the overall inflammation in the body. And inflammation is a contributing factor to weight gain and obesity.
9. Snacks & Desserts
This one's quite simple. Asian snacks, healthy, Western snacks, not so much. Asian snacks and desserts may be rice cakes, red beans, seaweed snacks, nuts, seeds, and lots of fruit. For Western snacks and desserts, you have cookies, chips, ice cream, sugary cakes.
10. Prevention vs Treatment
Asians practice prevention, while others practice treatment. With the Western approach, you have your antibiotics, antacids, NSAIDs, quick, temporary, remedies that might actually hurt you in the long run. The Asian approach attempts to get to the root of the problem using nutrition, healthy habits, prevention practices. It's a societal mindset. Health is not simply the absence of sickness.
