I thought I’d share a simple video on how to make Dosa... Very simple ingredients with low cost and easy to make.. good for MCO when every cent counts 🤣
2 cup rice grain
1/2 cup of Urid Dhall
Soak separately for 6-8 hrs
Blend rice first, followed by Urid Dhall
Add in 2 tablesp of cooked rice and sufficient salt
(l'd added some dried chilli in the batter for a failproof fermentation)
Blend well
Pour it into a big bowl and let it ferment overnite Use a non stick pan to fry the thosai
Serve with Chutney
Yum yumsss!!
Optional: You may add curry leaves and blend tgt too
TIPS:
1. If batter too thick and you can't make the "swirling" effect, you may add some water in the batter
2. To fry dosa, it doesn’t require too much of oil, usually just use onion to rub the flat pan
3. Fermentation has to be done in a warm place, so make sure it’s near the window or anywhere that’s warmer, no A/C environment
