So.. here we are again…
Round 2 of the CMCO.
How are you guys holding up?
Just checking, ya know…
I remember when the lockdown happened in March, it took everyone by storm and surprise.
All of us were affected in a multitude of ways. One thing I am pretty sure we all shared and experienced was.. fear.
Fear of what’s to come, fear of loss of income, fear of the uncertainties, the health of our loved ones, our freedom being taken away and the list goes on..
I’ve always been an active person who greatly enjoys the outdoors. Staying alone during the lockdown pretty much drove me up the wall. I felt restless, had trouble sleeping and sometimes, lost sense of purpose in life.
And then, Kevin texted me out of the blue and asked if I was interested to do online personal training with him and I immediately said yes!
We trained a couple of times a week with minimum equipment, but the sessions were something that I really looked forward to. It made time fly by faster, set a routine to my mundane schedule, disciplined me and got me back on track to taking care of my body, mind and soul.
The beautiful thing about exercising is that it is a natural mood booster and it improves your ability to deal with stress. It doesn’t make your problems go away. But it can surely help you think clearer as it improves your mood.
In times like these, when the gyms are unfortunately not allowed to operate, it’s easy for us to slack.
But having a personal trainer to keep you accountable and to call you out when you’re unmotivated and fail to stick to your fitness plan makes a huge difference!
This is why we at @movementdynamicsfit have decided to offer 1 month free personal training to 2 winners to equip them with the knowledge required to work towards their goals and become relentless in pursuing them.
Having a coach during trying times like these has helped me mentally and physically. I came out of the lockdown so much stronger and I hope Movement Dynamics can do the same for you too 😊
Please head over to our IG page @movementdynamicsfit to find out how you can stand a chance to win this giveaway!
Good luck!✌🏽

Happy new year 2020! I hope you all have a great start this new year.
I have got myself some new toys to start off the year! I bought a set of LED lights so I can have a consistent light source in my room to shoot these videos. Previously I was only relying on two white screens on my monitor with maximum brightness. It worked great as a soft light source with a nice wrap and fall off. However, it wasn’t bright enough as I have to shoot at ISO 800 with wide aperture.
I have also got myself a microphone boom so I can place the mic closer to myself. How do you like the audio? (YouTube video above) I like it very much, even with a Rode Video Micro the sound is pretty good. Ever since I got myself a Deity V-Mic D3, I have never used the Rode because the Micro has a narrower pick up pattern than the D3, rejecting a lot of background noise when I am filming outside.
Looking back at year 2019, I have only uploaded a total of 12 videos. That is a far cry from weekly upload. So this year, I have to step up my game and upload weekly consistently. I have plans to upload more per week, but weekly upload is my minimum goal.
For year 2020 I want to bring more value and inspiration to my audience as well. I have plans to have a sit down conversation with people that gave their daily job to pursue their dream. One of my friend did just that by resigning as a digital imaging artist at a commercial studio and started doing stock photography. Now after 3 years doing it full time, he has a sustainable income to support expenses and a family of four.
Another friend of mine also left his job at a commercial photography studio to have a cosy cafe in another state.
All they achieved is really doing what they love with financial freedom. Although photography/videography is what I love, I have yet to be truly free from financial constraints so I cannot share my story yet. Thus, I hope to inspire others by sharing other people’s stories.
All in all, a goal is set and we have a full year ahead. Discipline is utmost important here as I have to be consistent and persistent in uploading weekly contents.
I wish you all the best in achieving your creative goals as well!
