This is about Rakhi...
Let's read more about her journey here...
Hello Priscilla. I've been following you for months now. I thought I'd take some time out to send you some of my thoughts and share my story. I live in India. I don't know how I came across your profile but I saw that post of yours where you had put a series of pics through your chemo. Kinda reminded me of my girlfriend. We were high school sweethearts but when I got into medical school we broke up for some reason. When I was in the third year of my college, she called me to tell me she was diagnosed of Lymphoma. I took a bus and rushed to her place. The final reports came and it was stage IIa Hodgkin's Lymphoma. With heavy heart and a lot of counselling she started her chemo. It was her after second cycle, she fell in love with me all over again. Me, well I was never out of love in the first place. The next few monthes were tough. It was hard to see her suffer so much. Body ache, gastritis, pigmentation at the iv sites, vomiting, she had it all. Ours was mostly a long distance relationship. When I met her after a month she had lost all her hair and was thin like a stick. A part of me died that day. But my love for her was only growing exponentially. She finally finished her chemo and radiation. Nothing made me more happy than seeing her hair grow. She is the bravest girl I have ever seen. She never bothered about wigs or scarfs to hide her scalp. But I knew deep inside how much she loved her hair. She is a cancer survivor too just like you. Neither chemo nor the cancer could ever make her any less beautiful, just like you 😊 We had a couple of years after that untill we finally drifted apart for other reasons. Even though we are not together, we are still in talking terms. She will always have a special place in my heart. I am a doctor now and I hope to be an oncologist someday. Lots of love. Stay happy. Your smile has a special something and it brings some kind of solace to thousands out there still fighting for life. Never let it turn upside down.
When you love someone, you love her everything. Regardless if she has gone through cancer, baldness or being ugly.
True man stays during good times and never leave during hard times.
I'm so proud of you DR Riddhijyoti and to Rakhi, I wish you well and happiness for the rest of your life. ❤️🙏✨
