Someone asked him..
มีคนหนึ่งถามเขา...
“Is there anyone richer than you in the world?”
“ยังมีใครอีกไหมที่ร่ำรวยมากไปกว่าคุณในโลกใบนี้?”
Bill Gates replied…
บิล เกตส์ ได้ตอบกลับไป...
“Yes, there is a person who is richer than me.”
“ใช่ ยังมีคนที่ร่ำรวยมากกว่าผมอีก”
“It was during the time when I wasn’t rich or famous.”
“มันเป็นช่วงเวลาตอนที่ผมนั้นยังไม่ร่ำรวย หรือ มีชื่อเสียงเลย”
“I was at the New York Airport when I saw a newspaper vendor.”
“ผมอยู่ที่สนามบินที่นิวยอร์ก เมื่อผมเห็นคนขายหนังสือพิมพ์คนหนึ่ง”
“I wanted to buy one newspaper but found that I didn’t have enough change.”
“ผมต้องการซื้อหนังสือพิมพ์หนึ่งฉบับ แต่ตอนนั้นผมมีเงินไม่พอ”
“So, I left the idea of buying and returned it to the vendor.”

“Coincidently, after two to three months…”

“The vendor offers me the newspaper again.”

“I refused and said that I can’t take it as I don’t have change today too.”
“ผมปฏิเสธ และพูดว่า ผมไม่สามารถที่จะรับมัน เพราะวันนี้ผมมีเงินไม่พอเหมือนกัน”
“He said, ‘You can take it, I am sharing this from my profit, I won’t be at loss.’”
“เขาบอกว่า คุณเอามันไปได้เลย ผมแบ่งสิ่งนี้ให้จากกำไรของผม ผมจะไม่ขาดทุน.”
“I took the newspaper.”
“ผมรับหนังสือพิมพ์นั้น”
“After 19 years, I became famous and known by people.”
“หลังจากนั้น 19 ปี ผมกลายเป็นคนที่มีชื่อเสียงและเป็นที่รู้จักของผู้คน”
“Suddenly I remembered that vendor.”

“I began searching for him and after about 1 and half months of searching, I found him.”

“The vendor said, ‘Yes, I remember. I gave you twice.’”

“I said, ‘I want to repay the help you had offered me that time.’”

“He said, ‘I had helped you when I was a poor newspaper vendor and you are trying to help me now…’”

“‘When you have become the richest man in the world, how can your help match mine?’”
