Abit overdued but here is the glorious #beautyhaul from Etude House Singapore's 1st Anniversary event sometime back!
The dream team consists of:
👑 PLAY101 pencil liners: creamy, but rich pigmented payoff. Double use for eyes & lips!
👑 Sweet Cherry Tint: moisturising lip tint-balm texture which is nearly making me eschew lipsticks
👑 Previous Mineral Any Cushion: major love! One of the best cushions I've tried; a matte and brightening finish that actually looks like it was airbrushed 😘Reviews and swatches will be up this week! In the meantime, have you checked out their latest Christmas range?! Unbelievably cute!

I honestly don't know where to start.
This week in particular has been a crazy ride, but my best one yet. From backpacking with some of the best people I've come to known, finally graduating from my double degree to settling into my new home and now finally able to let the cat outta the bag 🙊
Starting tomorrow, I'll be officially anchoring the 10am to 2pm show weekdays on @FlyFM958. I rmb listening to the radio everyday omw to school thinking to myself "if only i could be like them someday..". I may have been a little over ambitious at the tender age of 12 but the present 23 year old me can now say "DREAMS DO COME TRUE!" 😊 AHHHH, this is too overwhelming!
Truth be told, this wouldn't have been possible without the help of some people I've met along the way for the past 3 years. My mentors who trained, guided and air-checked me countless of times. Also everyone in FLYFM that has been so ever kind and helpful to me. Thank you, thank you and thank you! (Can't count the amount of times I've said thank you this week 🙈).
Nonetheless, I'm really looking forward to this new beginning of my career. Doing something you would jump outta bed for ; surely is the best feeling in the world! I hope to make your day each time you tune into #FlyFM ; and that's a promise from me to you! 😊
Till then, I'll catch you on the airwaves! 😉 | 📷: @allisamazing (thanks for always capturing the best candids Paul! 😘)

Hey guys!
So this was a pretty random video, i know. Tried just fitting everything into one video and really cut out a lot to keep it as short as possible, so sorry if it's super "choppy". Anyway, I'm currently in Taiwan as i only spent a week in Hanoi before flying here, will be heading back to Vietnam on Sunday! This video is basically a chatty pack with me along with a mini haul of a couple things i've picked up lately to spice up my spring wardrobe. I also threw in a London bedroom tour into this video as i've promised so many times i would film it. Like i said in the video, i've just been a little unmotivated to share as i never got around to finishing it up and just got comfortable as it is. I think i am only motivated to make a place PERFECT if it's a more permanent home. I think it will be interesting for you guys to see the difference between my Hanoi apartment and London apartment as they're totally different in space & budget. My Hanoi apartment is definitely a permanent home so myself and especially my mom had spent a lot of time making it perfect whereas i don't own my current flat in London, i'm renting it which makes me feel less inclined to make it perfect as i know i will be out within a year or two. I then end the video on my flight back from London to Dubai to catch my connecting flight to Hanoi. It was my first time flying with Emirates which was a great experience. The plane and suite itself was amazing, however, i wasn't impressed with my baggage allowance. 40KG is a joke for the ticket i had. I know i should have double checked but i had never had this issue before. They wanted 30GBP/ KG overweight and i was 34KG overweight! I was not going to fork over that money so instead, i went with the DHL route which was far more appropriate in price and it got sent right to my doorstep in Hanoi within the week. So it wasn't a huge disaster after all, but still! 40KG is nothing!
I hope you guys enjoy(ed) this video! Thanks for watching :)

Here's how I'm able to afford to travel to make YouTube videos
Traveling isn't always cheap, but it isn't also crazy expensive. If you have a small budget, then it's possible to travel further if you can stretch your money further. Here's how I am able to travel in order to make these videos.
1. Be flexible with flight dates. Flights can increase by a lot sometimes on the very next day. Using sites like Google Flights to see the best deals. Double checking with airlines. Fly with budget airlines. Accept that cheap flights might have long lay overs.
2. Try not to check in bags. Budget airlines charge ridiculous amounts for checked bags. So therefore, you must wear the same clothes over and over again like me.
3. Wash your own clothes and use heaters and or AC vents to dry them.
4. Travel with others to split the costs of transport.
5. Eat basic food most of the time so you can save money for dishes/meals for video purposes. In Europe, pizzas, kebabs, vending machines are cheap and delicious.
6. Use public transport as often as you can (some cities are better connected than others) and only use taxis when you absolutely have to or use Uber instead.
7. Sleep at airports to save money. (Plan showers ahead of time / it's okay to be a little bit dirty) Some airports might even have showers that you can use. http://www.sleepinginairports.net/
8. Don't be too stingy when it comes to the budget though because then you won't really get to enjoy yourself. Reward yourself with a good meal or a drink from time to time.
9. I also use my savings, YouTube earnings, and Patreon to reinvest back into my channel in order to keep traveling to make videos.
10. Allocate money for other things with higher priority depending on the situation: For instance, on some nights, a hotel with a table and desk is required for editing. On other nights, a simple windowless room is all that's required.

I've always wanted to see the churches of Nam Dinh. In the past heading towards Ninh Binh on the road, the familiar towers and arches of massive gothic style French influenced churches would peak from beyond the horizon, sparking my curiosity. Later on, I saw many pictures of the online. So I knew that one day I had to go see them for myself. And it happened.
The Hanoi Bus Station has quite a few buses in Nam Dinh's direction. In fact, every 15 to 30 minutes or so. I recommend going to a ticket office and buying a ticket first, but be warned that these mini buses still might take their time leaving to pick up more passengers along the way. Remember that. And the buses can be quite hot too.
About 2 and a half hours later I made it to Nam Dinh, got into a cab and checked into my hotel. I rested for about an hour because I was completely exhausted from the early morning flight and the time on the bus. I tried to rent a car and driver with two rental places and they were all either busy or gave some outrageous number. So I contacted the same taxi guy that dropped me off. Then I realized that all of the churches were in the rural province of Nam Dinh and not in the city. This was a shocker because I was planning to see at least ten. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking that they were next to each other, similarly to how Ho Nai in Bien Hoa's mega churches are. I was more than wrong.
All the major churches are far apart from each other. You can ride a motorbike for sure, but it'll take you all day. I only had about 4 hours or so before sunset. So because I didn't know for sure where I was going and the driver wasn't an expert on the churches, we just opted to use the meter instead, which at the end of it was 1.8 million Dong. The first few churches weren't that far from each other, but they weren't on the main road. They are all tucked in little communities off of the side. The last one called Hai Ly or the Ruined Church as the locals call it was quite a ways away from all the other churches.
I was disappointed that I couldn't see more churches. I was also disappointed that pictures made them look more grand and beautiful. But that's photoshop for you. There was also the fact that many of the churches were given a new coat of paint. You see, that's the problem and the double edged sword. These are active churches that people use. So naturally, they have to restore them and improve them. And a new fresh coat of paint is a part of that. Though, I personally would just have left it alone. But that's not the local mindset.
So are the churches still worth checking out? Yes. Give yourself from morning to evening to properly explore them. Some of them are stunning. Their grand size made it impossible to film them completely. The people in the churches were so nice. From my experiences of traveling, church volunteers and visitors have always been nicer to me than temple people. Many of the church construction workers worked for free in the blazing sun. Some of them even invited me to drink some tea with them. They were proud to show off their work, and rightfully so. These churches were beautiful.
The night concluded with a meal of roasted and boiled ducks. The restaurant where I got the food from didn't have any tables left and it was just too loud and dark to make a proper video, so I bought the food back to my hotel restaurant instead. Despite being a draining day, I slept like a baby on the hard rock of a bed and enjoyed my time running around Nam Dinh a lot.
If you're in Ninh Binh. There is absolutely no reason to not stop by Nam Dinh for a day, especially if you believe in Jesus or if you can appreciate Gothic architecture. Nam Dinh is only 40 minutes or so from Ninh Binh after all.
