凱蒂食記：遠企marco polo：我最喜歡的就是法國菜的沙拉了，每個擺盤都像一幅藝術品一樣，漂亮又美味。最近是白蘆筍的季節所以當仁不讓就選了它，另外還有一盤是我的最愛—鴨肝，但我一口都沒吃到！當天因為燈光太暗，我哥沒看清楚，竟然一口就把鴨肝整個給吃掉了，害得我跟我媽兩當場傻眼！這裡的義大利麵都是我最愛得手工口感。我們選了菠菜龍蝦還有松子肉醬寬麵。雖然肉醬很香但果然還是龍蝦略勝一籌。主菜我們三人分別點了圓鱈、牛臉頰、以及雞肉卷。圓鱈這道菜做的真美！主廚將墨魚汁烤成的餅乾，放在油脂肥厚的魚肉上，視覺上就像是圓鱈的皮一樣，呈現出一整塊圓鱈的樣貌。和牛臉頰十分軟嫩且帶有豐富的膠質，搭配上白蘆筍還有焦糖洋蔥，讓我好想再來吃一次唷！最後的雞肉卷也非常有創意，外皮煎的酥脆，去骨的雞腿肉裡面包的是雞肝，三重口感，完美組合。Katherine's food diary: Marco Polo at far eastern hotel: the one thing I love about French food is their appetizer dishes always look like a plate of art. Since it's the season of white asparagus, we ordered a salad to share. Our other choice was seared foie gras salad, which my brother accidentally swallowed in one bite. He said he couldn't see well since it was pretty dark in the restaurant. I had to have their pasta since it was all handmade so we ordered two small portions to share. And of course both dishes did not let us down. Although the meat ragu with pine nuts was very flavorful, I still prefer the lobster spinach parpadelle. And then came our main course, the sea bass was another plate of art. Chef replaced the fish skin with a crisp squid ink infused cookie. The chicken was nothing I've ever tasted before, it was rolled with chicken liver on the inside. Lastly was another favorite of the night, beef cheek! It was cooked to tender and juicy, extremely delicious with white asparagus and caramelized onion. Mmmmmmm makes me want to return already!
