The department for Global Biostats and Epidemiology is based in Darmstadt, Germany, where the headquarters of Merck Serono is located. We bring modern statistical and epidemiological thinking to the heart of scientific decision making in Merck Serono. The Epidemiology unit provide key input in our products lifecycle and creates and a non-interventional data ecosystem that generates real word evidence data
Your tasks
• Contribute to the design of studies, development of study protocol and reports. Studies are mainly retrospective observational and aim at investigating treatment patterns, natural disease history, comparative effectiveness, and safety profile.
• Run literature reviews or/and meta-analysis on safety and effectives outcomes
• Identify real word evidence data tailored to study design and needs
• Assist in activities aimed at safety risk detection, ascertainment, and minimization
• Contribute to dissemination of study results through scientific publications
Your qualifications
• Master's student, preferably of Epidemiology, holding an Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (MD, Pharmacy, Biology, Public Health)
• Working experience in epidemiology will be valuable
• Good project management and strong team-working skills
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work and adapt rapidly to changing priorities
• Good project management from design to results communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in English
