This is a male ward.
I'm on a "morning shift" today at 7am. Mom went back to shower, have her breakfast and hopefully a good nap before coming back at 12.45pm later.
As I look around at those patients around me..
(Nope, not everyone here were diagnosed with meningitis)
Mixture of different races; Chinese, Malay & Indian.
Different age and different religion.
But one thing they have in common...
Their caregiver were female...
Only 1 bed out of 12 beds here.. I saw one male caregiver. 😮
Did everyone gave birth to daughter? (If ever I give birth, I hope I get a daughter too)
Or is their daughter a full time housewife who doesn't need to work?
Or is their son all minister busy with extremely important meetings and work loads?
Fortunate is those who have caregivers.
I still remember during my chemo days, my opposite bed malay aunty's condition was so critical and nobody came to visit her during her admission (it was more than a month)..
She told my mom she have 4 kids.
But on her final last few days, we finally saw her son came. We didn't know it was her last day though..
And she passed on after that..
Apparently, she was waiting fr her only son to visit.
P/S: the son came to visit with intention. to get his mom to sign the will. 😪
How far is Klang? This aunty even gave me $20 angpow fr blessings (she knows the culture uh!) 😭 Sigh I feel so sad for the aunty.
To those reading my post, spend more time with your parents.. If u think u can take leave during their funeral, you might as well take it now.
They remember your love when they're alive but they won't remember anything after they're gone.
We all only live once. Do it right, once is enough. It's only one life. No expiry in specific date. Anytime anyone of us can be gone. When HE call, it's our turn to go HOME.
