My biggest dream as a child was to be a mother and to have a big family. Now Im living that dream. My goodness it’s wonderful but it’s also the hardest role in my life. Much harder than I could have ever imagined. The way little minds work, their emotions, the ups and downs. Sometimes I feel like I’m drowning and other times I feel I deserve an award for being a super hero. Everyday I doubt the decisions I made the previous day and then question myself and those decisions over and over again till I drive myself mad. It’s so confusing being a parent. I’m always kind and most of the time patient but never perfect and always an emotional mess. Anyone else feel the same? Your not alone xx 💋

I like things to be simple, anything complicated turns me off. But weird I like complex personalities and the complexity of how minds work, or how complexity melts down to just simple roots of equations - some ultimate principals unquestionable and unswayable. They make you understand the true value of simplicity and they light up the pathways for you. Just another unprocessed #jjgrandom to ponder, at midnight.

Today, during our family meeting, Fatimah shared her opinion on what she thought about TV and books. She told us that TV was bad for us. According to her words, 'too much TV will make our brain explode'! She also said that to fix our brain, we had to read books. We were very surprised to hear her response as we hadn’t taught her to say this. She came up with all the material herself!

We always encourage our children to voice out their own opinion. It’s always amazing to see how children’s minds work. It’s even more incredible to see how they interpret things! Sometimes, their opinions are much different from ours. They might even be things that don’t even cross our minds!

At times, all you need is to see the world from a child’s perspective. Other than helping them to think for themselves and giving them a sense of empowerment, when children make their opinion heard, there are many things we can learn from them - just as much as they can learn from us!
