10 years ago was my most dramatic year. In 2008 I suffered 2nd degree burns, 13% of my face, ears, neck and shoulders were burnt. At that time, all my family and friends were worried about that I had been permanently scarred.
💙
I was lying on the hospital bed for 15 days, and scariest moment was not about how I would look like, but each time I to clean my wounds. I cried every time because of how painful it was.
💙
When I was dismissed from hospital, I kept a positive mindset and was happy but I had to stopped working for about 6 months because my skin was too sensitive to the sun.
💙
6monts later, in 2009 I started my first bank job in Kuala Lumpur.
💙
One day, I was surfing on Facebook and saw an advert that the Miss Universe Malaysia contest was looking for participants. I apply for 1 week unpaid leave so I could go for the trials, but my boss declined. So I didn’t think twice and handed in my resignation letter! 😂 All my colleagues and friends thought I was insane, but I just told them, I want to challenge myself when I’m young!
💙
So this my story from 10 years ago. I never gave up easily and I am really proud to see what I had achieved.
💙
To this date, I still have the same mindset to take on challenges and believe you should too! Keep strong and believe.🙏🏼💕
