In my case today? Over my Pon Bebels and Masak, I made Muah Chee andddddd forgot to add water to Varoma my glutinous rice mix ….BOLEH? 💆🏻♀️

Here is the MUAH CHEE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
Peanut Sugar Powder:
74gm Roasted Peanuts without skin (You can toast peanuts using the High Temperature : https://cookidoo.international/recipes/recipe/en/r685071
25gm Raw Cane Sugar
Turbo 2sec, set aside
60gm Glutinous Rice Flour
90gm Water
1Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
PREPARATION:
1. Add flour & water. Mix 1min/speed 3
2.Add oil. Mix 30sec/speed 3
3.Brush a thin layer of oil on metal plate ( I used a normal plate and raised it using the butterfly whisk below to allow steam to go through)
4. Pour mass onto plate and on Varoma Dish
5. Fill the mixing bowl with 1litre of water
Steam 15mins/ Varoma/ speed 1
Cut ( I used dough cutters to "slice" the glutinous into smaller pieces) and mix with Peanut powder. Serve immediately.

Muah Chee (or 麻糍 in Chinese) is a traditional Hokkien snack. In the past, this simple Chinese snacks can be found almost anywhere in Singapore. If you have tried Japanese mochi before, Muah chee is somewhat similar to it in terms of texture but you can see from the picture above that it looks nothing like Japanese mochi. Instead of being shaped into a real ball like Chinese tangyuan, muah chee is roughly cut up into bite sizes and coated generously with grounded peanuts and some sugar. Although it is not difficult to make muah chee, a good muah chee should be chewy and the proportion of muah chee vs peanuts & sugar should be appropriate. By cooking muah chee with shallot oil, you're also giving it a very nice and soft fragrance in every bite . Try making muah chee at home today. It's really simple.

Shallot oil

0.5 cup of oil
10 pcs of shallots - sliced
Glutinous rice dough
---------
1 cup of glutinous rice flour
200ml of water
1 tablespoon of shallot oil
Other ingredients
---------
Some peanuts - grounded finely
Some sugar - adjust sweetness yourself but muah chee isn't overly sweet.

Ingredients (8 cakes)
For the fillings
100g peeled split mung bean ( ½ cup)
¼ cup shredded young coconut (optional)
1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp sugar
11g vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
¼ tsp salt
For the dough
1 cup glutinous rice flour "Bot Nep" (or sweet rice flour mochiko) 100g
3 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
½ cup coconut flakes (eg. http://amzn.to/10RAsTM)
** You can buy coconut flakes at Western supermarket under baking section or at Asian Store or online at http://amzn.to/10RAsTM. Shredded young coconut (for the filling) can be found frozen at Asian store. You can buy a rice cooker at http://amzn.to/15YoOgo
You can also use a steamer instead of a microwave.
