DAY 10 - UK SIA RQF Level 3 Close Protection Operative. VENUE SEARCH
It felt like treasure hunt! I couldn't contain my excitement trying to find bugs hidden by the instructor and as a result, I stripped the sofa bare within minutes. See how we went through the process of doing venue search before our VIP arrives and securing the venue after the search. Method of communication is important and our team leader has to make clear how we communicate when we find bugs (ie. hearing devices, hidden spy cameras, weapons, etc). I never knew how much detail goes into searching as part of being an operative. I am proud to be lead by a female team leader Suba as it is so rare to have women in this industry. I am very impressed with her as she went through the course with no prior fitness or physical related background, just so that she can understand her business better. This shows how commited she is to her profession. I believe there is global demand for female bodyguards to cater for specific client situations where females are more suited for the job in family environments or different culture requirements. DAY 12 - UK SIA RQF Level 3 Close Protection Operative. FINAL EXERCISE at Atlas Solutions
At the end of the course, we were required to protect a VIP throughout the day following an intense itinerary. As team leader, I felt under pressure to guide and lead my team into a successful operation. We operated as a team of 7 with 4 vehicles (2 vehicle main body & 2 vehicle SAP teams) and roles were allocated to the relevant team member to cover different aspects of the job. This includes location recce, guest list vetting, maintaning schedule, identifying potential threats, action on incidents occuring, etc... This is where we are tested to see how we applied the skills and knowledge we learnt over the course. I can't describe into words how I felt when I walked my VIP into his front door with my team at the end of the day. That marked the end of our exercise and we achieved our main aim of keeping our VIP safe whilst maintaining his professional image intact! Follow my feed for more videos on what we covered.
