KENAPA MAK DULU BOLEH JAGA 10 ANAK, MAK SEKARANG ANAK BARU DUA DAH KECOH? 😢😢
Tu kena faham dulu sebelum keluarkan statement yang bukan-bukan. Saya paling anti kalau kenyataan ini.
'Eleh, makcik dulu anak ramai boleh je jaga, ko baru tiga dah macam tak cukup tangan?'
...Continue ReadingWHY CAN YOU TAKE CARE OF 10 CHILDREN, NOW YOU HAVE TWO CHILDREN? 😢😢
You need to understand first before you release a statement that is not a non-non-non I'm the most anti if this reality.
' Oh my God, the old children can take care of them, but you haven't had enough hands? ' '
Hmmmm.. unconsciousness, old times and today are very different.
My childhood days. Around 5-6 years old, I'm very free to go here. Riding a bicycle, entering the rubber farm to look for rubber to play arrogant. Sometimes round one village with neighbors and siblings.
Out after asar, before Maghrib returns. Out playing with the neighbor's son, chasing. Fun! Going home tiredly. After eating, I fell asleep by myself.
Mom? Doing housework at home. Dad? Off and back to work with pleasure. Why can mom take care of ten children?
Because the kids don't do anything in the house. Kids don't fight in the house. Child out playing with the next village neighbor? Mom never worries. Mom is never in trouble and restless. Because he knows, tired of playing, the kids want to confirm going back to eat.
Her daughter playing chasing with the neighbor's son? Mom never worries. Because girls and neighbors are just chasing.
In the past there were a lot of retail stores near the house area. The wet market is near. Mom gave RM20 and then gave a list of items, her daughter was riding a bicycle to the market, showing off the list, the shop person gave the items The price is also correct, sometimes it's ready to give free dry pepper, extra red onion.
Mom is happy to have a helper. No need for mom to go to the market. School days are also great. Morning dad sent me, back home and back home by myself taking the bus stop. Sometimes you have extra money, take private and apply. Sometimes I fall asleep in the car, but uncle just woke up, little brother.. got home!
Life is calm. Happy. Realized that 10 mother's children have grown up.
But that was the old days. Mom's era is different now.
My child wants to go out and play alone in front of my house so worried. Many cars, many motorcycles. My child just learned how to ride a bicycle, sometimes he falls sometimes too much. Mom is busy cooking again, so she has to ask her child to play in the house. Want to play outside, worry!
So, when I'm at home, mom is stressed. The kid kicks the toy, plays well for 5 minutes and then fights with the younger sibling. Haven't mixed up yet, the child says he's tired of toys.
Mom wants a kid to hang out with the neighbor's child. But mom is worried now. Mother's daughter, neighbor's son. Old kids naive. But kids are now in advance. Kids in the past when they were married, they were just sitting beside each other. Kids nowadays get married sometimes are 'married' straight away. There is no marriage ceremony. Finally, mom couldn't enter the kitchen, mom wanted to watch outside the kids how to hang out.
Mom wants to ask her child to go to the shop nowadays mom is worried. Confirmed to go to the shop, the child playing in front of the house is also dangerous Bad people everywhere. Once again, mom has to ask the child to play in the house. Once in a while, take it to the park, but that's it, the eyes will never be released. Worried. Worried. Worried. Thus, mom, don't care about the kids to go to the shop, even just to buy 5 red onion.
Mom wants kids to go back to school alone? More worries. When riding a bus there's risk, taking a taxi, there's a risk, riding your own bicycle. Mom is worried. So, for the sake of the child, mom should make yourself proud to take and send children to school. The bell hasn't sounded like mom has been intercepted in front of the school fence, afraid that the child will come back to follow people,
With that kind of routine, when do you want to have time at home? The child has to watch 24 hours before his eyes. Easiest, kids all in the house!
Mom didn't have toys in the house before, because the child played outside the house. Mom's house is clean, clear, because mom doesn't have to think about the children. Mom doesn't worry about the kids outside. Mom doesn't worry about missing child.
Mom now?
Even the kids in the house look at it!
10 CHILDREN OF THE PAST, NOT THE SAME AS THREE CHILDREN NOW.

[Meeting Martin Luther King Jr. in Boston]
Having lived in Boston for several years, I'm very used to a conversation with questions like "where are you from", "what do you do", etc at social events or church. Now, let's imagine that I lived in the year of 1953, just a few years after world war II. On an ordinary weekday morning, when I was on the Green Line B branch (which then was numbered "route #62") along Commonwealth Avenue toward downtown, I started a conversation with an African American guy who got up at the BU central stop. I quickly got into the typical Bostonian conversation:
"Hi, what's your name?"
"Martin." He said.
"I'm Jerome. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too."
"Are you a student at BU?"
"Ya. I go to the divinity school."
"That's cool. What do you study there?"
"I'm a doctoral student in systematic theology."
"Wow, that sounds very hard-core. So did you come to Boston to attend this program?"
"Ya. I'm from Atlanta, Georgia. I moved here two years ago after getting my bachelor of divinity."
"So are you a pastor?"
"Yes, I am."
"Cool. So where are you heading right now?"
"I'm going to downtown to meet my finacee. She's a music student at New England Conservatory. We're going to get married in Alabama next month."
"Wow, congratulations!"
That's true. I met the civil right activist-to-be Martin Luther King Jr. in the city of Boston, where it's never a surprise to randomly run into a doctor or a professor on the street. In a few minutes, I heard more about his story. While living in the south most of his life, he did spent 4 years in Boston, where he attended Boston University and got his PhD in systematic theology. While racial segregation (which came to existence after the civil war) was still prevalent in the south, Boston was the first city where I felt he was free to do everything without discrimination. He really enjoyed this city. And instead of living in the dorm of BU, he rented an apartment at 397 Mass Ave, right next to today's Orange Line Mass Ave station.
Boston was also the city where he met his wife Coretta Scott. They got married in June 1953. And he was incredibly young as a doctoral student -- he skipped two grades in high school and completed college at the age of 19. By the time he started doctoral study in Boston (at the age of 22), he already obtained his first seminary degree. By the way, he was also the assistant pastor at Twelfth Baptist Church, an African-American congregation near Dudley Square.
--------
Now the conversation continued. Martin and I started talking about Christian church and theology.
"Which church do you go to?" He asked.
"The XXX church. It's an evangelical church."
"Ah, Christian evangelism." From his eyes, you could tell there was probably something in his head.
"What do you think about it?"
"Well, I'm a pastor, and I do build my ministry on the teaching of Jesus. But I hope your church is not like one of the typical American churches today. I think really miss the point of the gospel."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, they've been focusing too much on individuals being saved and ignoring the injustice in this society. They miss their mission to liberate the oppressed."
"Well, isn't a Christian church supposed to share the gospel and convert sinners to God?"
"Yup, but doesn't the gospel free us? How can you say you're sharing the gospel while so many people in this country are oppressed and suffering from inequality?"
"You're right, but this should be the outcome of salvation, instead of the salvation itself..."
"(Sigh.) I think the some churches really need to shift focus." He breathed before continuing. "Old faiths like the bodily resurrection, virgin birth and miracles that contradict the science may not be necessary for Christianity today. Churches are called to realize the Kingdom of God on earth by exercising justice and mercy..."
Now I could sense where on the "church spectrum" he was. He was vastly influenced by Walter Rauschenbusch's social gospel, a theological thought popular in the early 20th century that called for a return to the "Kingdom of God" doctrine. Church's primary calling, in social gospel's perspective, is to bring God's kingdom on earth by applying Jesus' teaching to solve social issues and rescue the oppressed. Along with Mohandas Gandhi's nonviolent approach, it shaped King's theology and fueled the later movements he led.
And It was also interesting to see theologically how liberal his was. He casted his doubt on some essential doctrines that most Christian denominations held true back then. If you are from an evangelical background, this may get on your nerves. (But keep in mind that he lived before the age of neo-orthodoxy, and people often abandoned traditional views when running into doctrines that contradict scientific knowledge.) And this is probably why while many pastors today would say King's accomplishment was fueled by the Christian faith, but avoid talking too much about his view on doctrines.
--------
Let's get back on the train scene. At the Park Street underground station in downtown Boston, I said bye to the newly met friend Martin and saw him disappearing in the crowd. I could tell he's a brilliant and eloquent person, but might not expect two years later he'd be the person would be a key leader in the Montgomery bus boycott, nor decades later he'd deliver his famous speech in Washington. I might not agree with everything he said, but I'd definitely remember this conversation with Martin, a person that was once like me, who lived to Boston short-term to pursue a degree and was shaped by the personality of this city.
--------
[Afterthought] As a member of an American evangelical church (and also a foreigner of a minority group), the story of Martin Luther King Jr. continues to puzzle me. His view on certain doctrines are likely to be condemned as unorthodox by evangelical churches, but meanwhile, as the "saved" people, do we eager to live out and advocate the biblical justice in daily life as he did? Or we're always being "gospel-centered" while ignoring the all-inclusive nature of the biblical gospel?

Read to the end! This is written by an American black officer. People still deny there's racism in the US. They honestly need new glasses and perhaps new thinking cap as well. Perhaps they need a complete metaphorical makeover.
Starbucks.
Alleged events.
Two black males entered Starbucks to wait for a friend to arrive and did not order anything from the business. Prior to ordering and prior to their friend’s arrival, they decided to attempt to use the restroom. An employee denied the men access to the restroom because they had not purchased anything and asked them to leave. The men calmly refused and the employee called the police. The police arrived at the scene and asked the men to leave the facility. The men refused numerous times. The men were told that they would be arrested if they did not leave the restaurant. The men told the officers to arrest them. The men calmly stood up and allowed the officers to arrest them. They were transported to jail, when Starbucks contacted the police department and stated that they did not want to follow through with charges against the men. They were released.
Why did the police officers have to arrest them? Why didn’t the officers investigate further?
Any employee of a business has the right to ask a person to leave their business. If a person refuses to do so, it is trespassing, period. The modern-day purpose of that charge is to reduce physical conflicts, escalating situations and to protect patrons/employees. The number 1 reason why trespassing is important is because the mentally ill and homeless “camp out” inside of businesses scaring/employees and customers. I trained near downtown and I was frequently called to arrest the mentally ill/ homeless for trespassing. It isn’t to discriminate against them, but they cause disturbances. I removed a guy for clipping his toenails on a table. I removed a woman for bathing in the toilet. I removed a man for masturbating in a trash can next to a family with small children. We have a homeless/ mental illness problem in America and there is no real solution to the problem. Trespassing charges are the quickest way to remove them and the nuisances associated with their behavior.
If you have ever been to a parade or any other event, you know that business often post signs stating that no one can use the restroom unless they are paying customers. You can imagine the nuisances caused by hundreds of drunk people creating a line only to use the restroom, pushing actual customers away from a business. It has caused numerous fights and disturbances. Trespassing charges are the easiest way to get people to leave and go on with their day.
In this Starbucks situation, the police were called and an employee wanted the two men out of the store. When the police arrive, it is their job to arrest someone who refuses to leave after being asked to do so by the business. Period. It doesn’t matter if the men were correct or not. A business can ask someone to leave. This prevents escalation between patrons/ employees for the most part. If a patron has a separate civil issue with the company, they are free to file that complaint or seek justice in other methods. The officers did nothing wrong.
As an officer, I know that most officers hate arresting people for trespassing. In an officer’s heart, they are hoping that the person being asked to leave will be gone prior to arrival. Most officers are disappointed to see the person still at the location. Trespassing charges are way too much paperwork and take too long to process at jail considering the charge. It’s annoying, but needs to be done in some circumstances. The officers asked the men to leave several times hoping they would just leave. They refused and told the officers to take them to jail. The officers were forced to take them to jail. They were professional and did their jobs. This is a civil issue and the issue lies with Starbucks and not the officers.
Racism / Cognitive Bias
It is not my place to accuse the employee of being racist, as I don’t know her heart and I wasn’t there. Racism and cognitive biases towards black people are real. I experience it all the time. Both affect black people the same way, regardless of the intention of the person exhibiting that behavior. It is tiring.
The beauty of this incident occurring at Starbucks as opposed to any other restaurant is that Starbucks encourages and cultivates an environment of loitering. College students spend hours there studying without making a purchase. People go on first dates without spending a dime. Business meetings take place there without a dime being spent. Friends gather there to pass time while waiting to go to a concert. People go there to read books. People go there to hang out. Starbucks has less standing to try to enforce a strict bathroom rule because of the environment that it encourages among citizens.
Many people use the restroom before placing an order. I would never order anything prior to using the restroom. You might miss your name being called for your order. I don’t like leaving my food/beverages unattended while in the restroom. I will not take my food/ beverage in the bathroom.
There was nothing about those two men that should have made this employee think they were mentally ill/ homeless. There was nothing about these men that should have made this employee believe they were a threat. There was nothing about these men that should have made the employee believe they were at a parade and using the restroom without intentions of patronizing their business.
Opinion
I get numerous messages from white people who desire to understand why black people get so upset about situations like this and I will try to explain.
I’ve gone to jail to do an interview with a prisoner, wearing the proper credentials and I had a jail worker put their hand on my chest (and the badge allowing me access) telling me that I can’t enter the facility. I was with a white officer, who was not wearing the proper credentials and he was allowed to pass through. When the white officer saw that I had problems passing through security, he came back and told the security worker that I was an officer. I did everything I was supposed to do, but my credentials meant nothing because her racism/cognitive bias told her that most officers are white males and she decided in her mind that I couldn’t be an officer. What if I punched her for putting her hand on my chest? How would I be viewed? She never looked at my credentials. She only saw my hair and face. I needed my white co-worker to validate my existence.
I was talking on my phone in CVS getting ready to buy toiletries for a trip. I was being followed around the store by an elderly white woman. I ignored it and continued to speak on the phone. Suddenly, an officer was called to the store. I saw the officer, but I didn’t care because I am an officer and I just knew he wasn’t there for me. The officer walked up to me and asked what I was doing in the store. I told him I was shopping. He told me that a suspicious person call came out about me. I started laughing and began to look for the elderly white woman. I knew she called because these things happen to me more than they should. She was peeking around a shelf to see what would happen. I knew she called the police. As he began to ask for my name to check and see if I had warrants, I showed him my badge. He stopped gathering my information. The officer was very professional. It wasn’t his fault that he was called there. If he refused to investigate and I robbed the store, he would have been in trouble. He marched me over to the elderly lady and asked her why she called the police. He showed her my badge and she still didn’t believe that I was an officer. He criticized her behavior and stormed out of the store. Good thing I had my “I’m not just another black person” badge. What happens to those who don’t have one? I needed the white officer to validate my existence.
I was at work for nearly 48 hours finishing up a big case. I went to my car to retrieve something and began to walk back into the police department headquarters. I was wearing plain clothes and wasn’t wearing identification. A white officer was in front of me wearing plain clothes and not wearing identification. A uniformed white officer was exiting the building and asked the white undercover officer, who looked like an extra from “Duck Dynasty,” if he was an officer. The guy stated that he was an officer and the uniformed white officer allowed him to enter the building. I was a few steps behind that exchange and the white uniformed officer asked me for my identification as I began to approach the building. I have been through this production many times so I already knew where this was headed. I told him that I was an officer to see if that same privilege would work for me as I entered the station. He repeated that he needed to see my identification and blocked the door. I was tired from being at work for so long and wasn’t as politically correct as usual. He began to try an enforce policy stating that he needed to see my identification. I told him that I would not show him my identification until he chased down the white, homeless looking guy that he didn’t recognize as an officer and ask him for his identification. He was clearly upset. He was upset that his authority wasn’t respected. He asked why everything had to be about race. I told him I’ve been trying to figure that out my whole life. He plead for me to just show him my identification because it wasn’t a big deal. I told him it was a big deal. I won’t comply because that’s what you want me to do and you want your authority respected. I told him to show me his identification and he refused. He got upset and walked away cursing me out. I wouldn’t have had a problem showing him my identification because it is policy. I wasn’t showing him anything because he trusted the white undercover officer’s word, but mine wasn’t good enough. If only I had a white officer with me to validate my presence at the police department.
What would that officer say about me if I filed a complaint? What if I got loud with him? Would he label me as another angry black woman? Would he tell everyone on the department that I am a race baiter to defend his behavior? I didn’t complain.
I went to Gloria’s (Addison) for a birthday party around 2 pm. I had on Timberland boots, but was dressed fashionable. The security guard let the rest of my group in, but told me that I couldn’t wear tennis shoes inside. I told him that I was wearing boots and he said boots and tennis shoes were the same. I politely asked to speak with the manager. I tried to show him my “get out of looking suspicious” police identification and told him that I wasn’t there to cause problems, I drove an hour to get here and I was there for a birthday party. He rudely said that I wouldn’t be attending any party at their business. There were numerous white guys wearing actual tennis shoes and they were immediately allowed inside the business. I pointed to those guys and asked why those tennis shoes were acceptable? He called more security guards to the scene and said that I would not be allowed inside their business. I missed the party, nor did I desire to be there anymore. I never go to that Gloria’s and I think about that experience every time I pass by it. This may not seem like a big deal to you if you are white. These things don’t happen to you all the time.
Every day black people have to be calmer and pick and choose their battles. It is tiring. I understand the frustration of white officers who don’t understand all the frustration exhibited by blacks. These incidents don’t happen to them daily. Their position is validated just by existing. I understand why white people say “just be compliant.” Generally, people should just comply, but sometimes you have to dig your heels in the sand to effect change.
Again, the police did nothing wrong in this situation. There is no recourse when white people call the police because of their own racism/ cognitive biases. What if those men were supposed to see their daughters off to prom and missed it due to their arrests? What if they had to acknowledge this arrest as they applied for jobs? What if their sons had soccer games that they missed because of this incident?
If these white people didn’t step up and say that they come to Starbucks all the time without ordering and are allowed access to the bathroom, where would those black men be? If those white people refused to get involved because the incident didn’t affect them, where would those black men be? If those white people didn’t record the incident, documenting proof of how calm the black men were, where would those men be? If those white people didn’t raise so much hell, that the company called the police station and refused to press charges against them, where would those black men be? Where would black people be without white chaperones to prove their existence is valid and harmless? Black people should not need validation from white people to exist.
Just as criminals don’t wear signs indicating that they are criminals, racists and people with cognitive biases don’t wear signs indicating their status. If you are white, I encourage you to try to imagine going through incidents like this every day as you buy groceries, pump gas, ride the bus, purchase clothes at the mall, attend parties, go to bars, watch your children play sports, and a long list of other everyday activities. It doesn't make you a racist if you don't insert yourself in situations such as this to defend people. It takes a special person to stand up for people dealing with an issue that will never affect you.

Macau, China is home to unbelievable hidden gems found off the beaten path and in today's sunny day outdoor adventure I went hunting for them!
Beginning the day Macau side by the Science Museum and Kun Iam Statue I captured the beautiful sunrise by the secret coastline lookout right by the famous Macau landmarks.
The sunrise was perfect giving amazing pinks, purples and yellows, it made for a cinematic morning vlog indeed.
Next I hiked to the Grand Lisboa, here with a great photogenic view of the Macau Tower I took in the scenic view of Macau.
As the sun began to rise giving birth to a sunny day in Macau I travelled by bus taking a tour of Macau up to Coloane Village, Macau.
This vibrant local fishing village is perfect for nature lovers and those who want to go off the beaten path. Here you can find beautiful nature landscapes as well as old Portuguese buildings that are very instagrammable.
Macau Coloane is a great travel location in Macau filled with hikes, temples and great food.
In Coloane Village I hiked and walked around the local spots and discovered hidden gems along the way.
Near a temple I discovered an abandoned building in the forest, hidden from the crowds. Exploring this secret travel spot I then headed on to Coloane Coffee Cafe for breakfast.
At this local Cha Chan Teng I ate delicious Macau food and drank some great black coffee.
Next I began my hike up the mountains of Coloane, following an old hiking trail that now is overrun with nature and fallen trees.
However more on that adventure in part 2!
This was my sunny day outdoor adventure in Macau China and I really hope that you enjoyed this travel vlog in Macau.

I hope this Taiwan Alishan travel guide video and notes below helps you. If you have a question please leave a comment below.
- 8:30 AM ARRIVE CHIAYI STATION
That’s the TRA station - not the high speed rail. If arriving by high speed rail allow up to 30 minutes to catch a taxi to the TRA station.
For a guide to trains and buying train tickets in Taiwan see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDpdUGs7HNM)
- 9:00 AM TRAIN FROM CHIAYI STATION TO FENQIHU STATION (runs at 9:00 on weekdays, 9:30 and 10:00 on weekends, trip time 2.5 hours)
You can’t go all the way to Alishan station now as the track was damaged in a typhoon and they’re not going to fix it).
You can buy tickets in advance here: https://afrch.forest.gov.tw/. The website is only in Chinese so use google chrome on your computer to translate the page. Pay by credit card then pick the ticket up at ANY major train station when you arrive in Taiwan (show your passport at the ticket window).
Guide to the train numbers here: http://taiwan-itinerary.blogspot.com/2016/10/alisan-railway-tickets.html.
- LUNCH AT FENQIHU
Fenqihu was the popular stop for loggers at lunchtime so it’s a really cute little old town. The bento shop shown in the video is next to the 7-Eleven. When you arrive at Fenqihu, go all the way down the stairs, walk straight down the street and you’ll see it. Fenqihu isn’t big so you can wander around for the rest of the time. Unfortunately unless you stay in Fenqihu overnight, there’s not enough time to go hiking or see the lake (which is what the town is named after).
- BUS FROM FENQIHU TO ALISHAN TRANSPORT STATION
Use google maps for directions on where to catch the bus from (up on the highway). Set your destination as “Alishan station” and select directions for public transport. Schedules say the bus leaves at 2:40 but we arrived at the highway just before 2:30 and the driver said it was already past time to leave. So get there a little early! This is apparently the last bus, although you can catch another bus to Shizao, then change for a bus to Alishan (that seemed too annoying so we didn’t do it).
- DINNER AT ALISHAN
I haven’t seen one good food review on Alishan (it’s not what you’re there for anyway!) - so we just got beers and instant noodles from the 7 Eleven and enjoyed them at the hotel.
- STAY AT ALISHAN HOUSE
Look around for deals online, or stay at another hotel near the Alishan station (https://goo.gl/maps/Mn2yTnAAoWn). There are quite a few. Don’t expect a cheap hotel to have good facilities, this is a very popular tourist destination. Book early especially in peak season!
- SUNRISE TRAIN
Tickets for the sunrise train (around 350nt round trip) are sold the afternoon before at the Alishan train station. If staying at Alishan house you can buy them straight from the hotel reception, or if staying somewhere else, go to Alishan train station to buy these.
- HIKING
There are trails around the train station area. Pick up a map from the station or your hotel. The train on top of the mountain can also take you to some of the attractions if you’re tired of walking.
- BUS BACK TO CHIAYI
Get a timetable from the 7-11 at the transport station (or your hotel will have one). Use your easycard/ipass card to pay for the bus fare BUT you need to “save your bus spot” at the 7 Eleven first. I tried doing this 30 minutes before catching the bus but there were no spots left so we had to wait 1.5 hours until the next bus. So do this as early as you can. The last bus leaving from Alishan transport station to go down the mountain is around 5:00 pm.
There are taxi drivers around the transport station trying to get you to go down the mountain with them. I don’t recommend this option.

香港也有好地方值得去!
到過梨大及南蓮園池, 突然覺得它們都有相似的地方。
你們覺得呢?
HK has nice place to visit too!
having been Edae & Nanlian garden, i found that both of them are quite similar.
Do you think so?
===================================
嗨, 大家好, 我是Ashley

Hi, this is Ashley
I believe that many people heard about Ewha Woman University (Edae)
Most traveler generally will think about where can go shopping, eating…etc in Edae.
But for me, I will be interest in the atmosphere, environment about this university.
I like to visit the view. Also, I feel relax when I see the colourful plants.
Back to HK, when I go to work by bus, I found that a place, where has colourful plants, seems similar to Ewha (Edae).
WOW! Such beautiful place is Nan Lian Garden, a part of Chi Lin Nunnery.
It maybe a bit difficult when pronounced in Cantonese. And it is a classical garden in a modern city.
HK people are so busy, and the pace so fast too. It is necessary to grape the chance to start afresh.
Even though it locates in modern city, it seems so peaceful compared to outside.
It is quiet and sacred.
If you are not shopaholic, or you don’t relax yourself by keep shopping, or don’t prefer to spend money to take a break (e.g. travel), this place is a good choice to start afresh.
At least it is not a remote area, we can go there conveniently.
It may not be the spotlight of tourism. But some foreigners know this place too.
As a HK person, you should visit there. Right?
The nature of Ewha & Nanlian Garden is totally different. Ewha is for education, while Nanlian Garden is a Buddhist place.
So why they are similar?
It is because both of them are near the subway stations.
Nanlian Garden is situated in Diamond Hill. When you go to Exit C2 of Diamond Hill MTR station, you will see that there is Hollywood Plaza. You go upstairs and find the Marks and Spencer. After passing through M&S and turn right, go straight and walk across the road, you will find it.
Edae is easier to visit.
Firstly you go to Ewha Woman univ. subway station. When you go to the street level, go straight around 10-15 mins, you will find Edae.
The 2nd reason why I think that they are similar, is because they are quiet.
But please bear in mind, no tripods no selfie stick are kept.
